Zelt's Monthly Photoshop Challenge - May '07

Well guys, while we decide over the winner of last month's Challenge, let's get started with this month's.

The May Challenge consists of:
-Warboards Themed Wallpaper: You shall design an warboards-themed piece of artwork, to be used as a wallpaler. Dimensions are free, just as long as they stick to standard desktop dimensions.

Rules:
-Artwork will be divided into two categories. This is because our photoshoppers are a race in extinction and because participants who only use basic software might not be able to compete with more advanced stuff like renders and such. W/E :P
Categories are:

-3D designs: For artwork involving spiffed up 3D renders or other advanced effects that can only be achieved by using 3D software combined with graphic editing software such as photoshop.

-2D designs: For artworks that are created simply with graphic editing software such as photoshop or GIMP.

Works will be judged based on standard criteria.

Deadline: May 31st.

Hrm, SG... the wallpaper is supposed to be "Warboards Themed" as in something that we could put as a downloadable goodie or stuff :). You have a relative degree of artistic liberty, but you can't just slap the word "Warboards" on a random piece of artwork and enter it.

But hey, whip something new up and submit it. Just make sure you do it before May 31st :D

Don't let me down guys... I'm getting little to no involvement with everything I've tried to start here at CC. I'd have to hate to call these off due to lack of participation too :(

EDIT: Oh, and BH wins last month's contest too. Sirion comes in second. I'll be whipping up a medal or something maybe. See if I can use BH as a walking ad :P

Alright, I was going to make a map out of WB and place it on this (hence the really rough paper) but I realized it was taking forever so I just decided to go with a stereotypical game poster with a little added touch. I know a couple people (WK :> ) weren't big fans and I'll try to neaten it up when I get some more free time but I have to work in the morning so meh. If you don't mind I'll do a cleaner version (and a version with a D2 pic) later this week. I may also do a version with the game logos underneath each picture. We'll see xD.

I took down my own avatar so I could get the lion logo that WB uses :>.
