I find this whole ridicule preposterous. Most people, as far as I can tell, spend much more than two minutes on their hair every day, and that's when they aren't about to make a formal appearance that will help determine their next job. I'd bet money that most average people spend more time than that on their appearance before going to a job interview or date.

But yeah, it is a known and often ridiculed fact that politicians in general put way too much focus on their hair. Also, if you didn't pick up on the fact before now that John Edwards was not the manliest man in politics, you must be pretty slow.
