Have a look at these (http://englishrussia.com/?p=851) cakes. Some really amazing (http://englishrussia.com/images/art_cakes/5.jpg) life (http://englishrussia.com/images/art_cakes/41.jpg)-like (http://englishrussia.com/images/art_cakes/35.jpg) ones (http://englishrussia.com/images/art_cakes/37.jpg), and to think that no plastics are used. The last one(Reebok shoe) looks the most real, is it?

That second link is a 403 Forbidden, suckaah!

The cakes are pretty rad though. The wonders of fondant and marzipan. That stuff is edible, but it doesn't taste great Not bad either, just not very good. Lol.

Threadless (http://www.threadless.com/?streetteam=sarahbobera") just finished taking entries for a cake competition, the results from that were pretty cool too. The pictures of all the entries are here (http://www.threadcakes.com/).

That second link is a 403 Forbidden, suckaah!

Go to the first link which has all the pictures listed in one page. Then right click->copy shortcut->paste each of the other "forbidden" links into the URL bar and you will see the photos he is trying to show you.

Anyway, i'm not sure if anyone would actually eat them -- they look more like 'temporary decoration'

some of them that look detailed (like the maps or the ones with tiny writing) usually use an edible printed overlay - in either case alot of them look tasty
