Yes, I will have it come out in 2010, maybe sooner, but no longer then 2010.
-- Why?
---- Because I'm going to be creating 95% of all objects used in my RPG
------ Includes (Triggers, Icons, Spells, Terrain, Skins, Models, Sounds, Mini-Map and AI)
------ Loading Screens will be made by professionals
------ If anyone would like to help with ideas, or anything, I would surely accept it
------ Why Am I making everyting?
-------- I wan't my RPG to be "good" with "excellent" graphics and models

I might create a teaser map in 2009 to give an idea of what it would be like.

Multi-Map?
-- Yes, I will have a map for each part of the world (Accurate to Warcraft III's game manual maps, and World Of Warcraft's map)
-- Each map will have varying number of allowable players
-- Each map will have its own special items and heroes being able to get ONLY in that map, loading hero from another map is OK.

Wow, just another RPG, eh?

That's 3 years !
For that time most ppl will retire grom wc3 and turn backs to WoW...

Anyway,can't wait to play it,good luck with ur project....

There is one thing though, with a multimap one, does that mean you will pass into other maps from one map that would use the gamecach if so this doesent work on Bnet, if u do it like a normal campaign u will be fine :)

I can't wait for release so I can open the map, crack the coding of the load system, and create some max-potential heroes that i've never used before.

lol, im doing that my self.. it so easy to hack them.. well I dont really hack the actual coding for the save/load system. i open the map script, and maxe this

lol, this way, theres no corruption of codes or anything, i just changed the "source" of where the system gets its info from

but back on topic

yeah i kinda noticed playing on b.net with gamecaches wont work, but im going to have a save/load system with maximum security idk how im going to do that.

but yeah im going to have multi-map, and its going to be a special multi-map save/load system that im developing myself (with the help of a starter tut. or something).
ex: Every map has it's own custom heroes and items, and that means you cant get one hero in one map, but you can load it from the other save on the map the you picked the hero on.
Plus, im going to have cross-map quests like a quest to get an item from another map, save it, and load it in the other map
im going to have maybe some other systems, and a system of my own.

I'm going to have an arena, maybe some mini-games, Dota type map mini-game (MAYBE), i mean im going to have 3 years so its going to be kick-ass

Plus, if i ever need to, i can add on to the RPG, just export the main units, item files, and make another map

thnx, i just got 100$ so i might buy 3Ds max 9 and see if that war3modeling tools kit works with 3dsmax 9

You don't need that only,look in Map Forge > wc3tools,find some good option...;)

Hmm, but the time of 2010 i will be eighteen, graduating from high school, working part time at the hospital and planning my courses for college. I'm sure by then i'll still remember what W3 is (and hopefully get my disc back by then), as a matter of fact i might have time to play this rpg. :rolleyes:

I mean, 3 years? Thats an awfully long project even for something this size. Where are you going to find the time for this? Much less the aspiration to do something all by yourself. I wouldn't be suprised if you decide to put this project on halt.

Crap now i got Emo thinking about map making. Ugh, now i really want to finish my Zombie survival game. Can't visit the Map Forge until i get my disc back! No more Map Forge. >.<

Why spend an unnecessary 10 dollars for a new disc when I could instead, complain and wish that my original disc would be returned? :o

If you're looking for a way to make it more difficult to crack, set each attribute/item/whatever to an integer, string all the integers together, change to a different base like base 60 or something, then add numbers which are checks, so that they are always in agreement with one another. (ie if character 7 = %, then character 19 better be a Q or the code wont work) Then add a couple of random numbers, and scramble it.

You can have different scrambles, as long as one character remains in a constant position, so that you can index the order of your password to it.

Then protect the map in every way you can think of, especially so that the triggers cant be read. I would love to see someone crack a 20+ digit base 64 code (this means upto 64 different possible orders, with only one index character, and even if you guess right, you need to guess with the checks being valid) without looking at the triggers :rolleyes:. Even looking at the triggers this would take some time...

10 $!!!Is money so hard to earn.In serbia 1$ is 60-80 dinars so see if is it easy for us.

yeah but thats just becuz im kinda working on my house and moving over the next year or so, ill be off and on working on the rpg, so it will take a while.
