AMAI: Good for Macro... good for BS

So I checked out the AMAI. It's not half-bad. So far I've looked at UD and Orc. I'm not so impressed with the accuracy of common openings or the comp's chicken-shit choices at times (oh and building placement sucks ass), but the macro ain't too bad at all. It's good for anyone that needs improvement on reacting with a good counter. The micro isn't too shabby either.

I'd post a replay, but since I doubt most of you would be able to watch it without downloading the program I didn't bother. Be sure to create a new file for the maps you want to apply it to. Thanks for the review proz, it helps. I wonder why it's so hard to create better standard openings and building placements?

Ugh, so I watched the human strategy using the "just comp" feature of AMAI.SE. I'm thoroughly disappointed with the way human loses to everything else. It's funny in some sense, because my hunch is that maybe someone out there hates human. Hmm... I wonder.

Anyway. It is sort of cool to be a "commander" telling the computer what strategy to use or to switch strategies midgame. I watched Hu take on Orc. Just for fun, I had my Hu comp counterpart try out Mass Hawks against Orc. Orc comes on into the Hu base (who probably has about 7 or 8 hawks by this point) with Grunts, an SH, a Firelord, and 4 or 5 catas. Now, I'm thinking... whoa, this is gonna be funny.

The Hu loses all his hawks, his two heroes, and subsequently leaves the game. Mass Hawks against Grunts/Catas. C'mon. Ahh well, it's a comp, it's not a real opponent, and no one should expect more. But really, Mass Hawks vs Grunt/Cata and the Hu loses. Throw me a fuckin' bone.

Well, sinse I play human, the only thing I'll lose out on is perfecting human mirror. Any way, this is ganna be fun.

AMAI comes with an AI enhancer that runs on pearl. you can get that and further enhance the AI.
