So recently I've been thinking about how to make a tier 2 push work against the UD base, and so far I've come up with the idea of using AM/pally with morts/caster. Start with the standard am creep + foots and 1 riflemen before tier 2. When you hit tier 2, build a workshop and sanctum at tier 2 with a pally. From here, its nothing special, bring some militia to the undead base and summon 2 elementals, 1 before you go to the undead base, and 1 after. Bring sorcs instead of priests to slow down the ghouls, while your foots and water elementals beat them up. Use your pally to heal the morts after the undead nukes them. One should be able to keep the slaughter houses from being present with the morts. The one problem I see with this, is that hero nuking will be hard to supress on the morts, even with a pally. And while rifles cost more than mortars gold wise, the fact that morts demand 60 wood is very taxing. Your thoughts?

Skip the rifles, they're too expensive and give shitty returns.

Fuck attacking the Slaughterhouse, attack the shop.

Bring breakers, morts, sorcs, and priests. AM/BM.

Slow UD heroes when they come in close and nail them with breakers. It'll drain a lot of their mana and solve a lot of the nuking problem. Keep spamming the summons out there to wear out their front lines. If they retreat back to their towers, drop an arcane or two so that you can pretty much guarantee they won't be coming out. Keep the shop down and queue more units to your heroes. They won't be able to build or upgrade their statues, so no Destroyers, no problem.

Thanks ga, that helps a lot. I'm ganna toss this strat your way too If you don't mind. I'm sure your firmiliar with my desire to sneak an expo any chance I get. With that said, I came up with a strat. I developed it against the computer, and have yet to see if it works versus any form of harass. However, I'll throw the idea out there and I think you will like it.

The idea came to me when I noticed that I always had so much wood but not enough gold during my tier 2. I tried to get out of the bad habbit I was in of building more than 7 wood workers. However, I found an even better solution. Start by creeping greens or clearing an expo and leaving without putting an expo up. You will need to creep the expo spot before tier 2 though(which is where this strat can easily go wrong). You will have to replace the food count for 1 foot, with 2 peasants. During your tech place down a lumber mill. Now I will go into the specifics.

Because of your generous amount of lumber, you will be able to speed build 1 sanctum (with 2 peasants) while buildings another with only 1 peasant. Now to get enough gold for your expo, you will need to sell all of the items in your archmages inventory. Run 3 peasants to your expo spot and start building your expo, and proceed to upgrade the wood carrying capacity of your peasants (in the lumber mill). Now what hero and whether or not you want to wait for you casters to attack depends on the racial matchup. I am thinking of attacking anyway, just to pressure them into ignoring my expo.

I am having difficulty seeing this work against orc, considering the amount of pressure they put on you and the fact that sacrificing a foot is difficult. not to mention that you need to buy boots of speed against an orc blade master. Same problem if the night elf is going DH. I considered it against human mirror if he is going W.E. am and creeping. As well as against undead if he isn't bringing his ghouls. Also depends on the map as it works very well on TS, phantom grove, Tristfall glades, and any map where creeping the expo is easy.

This versatility at the cost of 1 foot seems like a real deal to me. You can decide to bring more militia along for your tier 2 attack if you feel like you can't get an expo. Which is pretty nice on a small map.
