Starcraft: Who thinks there will be an sc2?

Yo! I hear a lot of people say there will be a starcraft II. I want to see how many of you think there will be. Personally... I think there will be, without a doubt, because, I mean, just look at battle.net there are like 11 chatrooms 24/7, filled, or more. So I think it is too popular not to make another. tell me what you think.

I think there MIGHT be... But I have reason to believe they'd release a revamped version of Ghost first. There's already been talk about that. Blizzard talks to companies they sell to (Gamestop, Best Buy, etc.). Facts/ rumors get around... But even rumors have a valid starting area.

Yeah, there will be, and it'll be called Warcraft XVII: Kerrigan's 80th birthday. A couple of Orcs will rip open some bad ASC_II portal into the Kropulu sector and kick butt at the Char nursing home, all of them having advanced to the point where they can survive seiges for years encased in solid diamond armor. Warcraft XVII: Kerrigan's 80th Birthday, coming to a WoW convention near you!

But seriously, they will make an SCII, and I have high hopes for an announcement at BlizzCon this year. "Three unannounced titles" == WC IV, Diablo III, and SCII.

Poor Diablo and SC...where's the love?

Well, an upcoming Blizzcom this August..

StarCraft II will have my highest hopes.
Diablo III, Baal is dead, dunno if Blizz will revive it again
WarCraft III, heard from somewhere MAYBE a movie may be made, but then i dont think its true, and i hope Operation SOWC [ Sick Of WarCraft ] works...

I think this big announcement will be a new game. SCII will come out but not for years. They have the legacy of the besst ever Strat' ever. That will be hard to match. and they might just invest in finishing the story on project revolution. I mean who will play SC when it comes out. And its blizz game so why not.

I don't think it's going to come out, nor do I think it should. SC2 will make many people irritated, especially the GOSU's and pros. Original SC will not be played as much, I'm assuming, so there would be no point for elite teams like TeamLiquid and Sea and others. Also, in Korea, huge tournaments take place for the best SC players. From what I've seen, it's like a huge gathering of thousands of people and they watch the pros play. SC2 may put that at risk. Another expansion might be nice, however.

Of course they'll make an SC 2! They won't let a game this big simply fade away without sqeezing more money out of it. Then again, as it has probably occured to most of you SC fans out there, SC is just so good, they might be afraid of the task of having to make something thats good enough to be it's second part.

Though I do have some crazy hope regarding Blizzcon in August, I doubt they had the time and manpower to work on a project of this magnitude, seing as how they don't really do anything except keep milking WC3 and WOW these days.

The announcement of Ghost being continued and coming out sometime soon is much more probable, but to be honest, I'm not really interested in that.:confused:

To sum it all up, SC2 is sure to come out sooner or later, but I wouldn't bet too much on that sooner part.

1st. Starcraft is currently blizzards little goldmine waiting to happen. I highly doubt that they're going to just sit on it without making a move on it sometime. And when that does happen there's going to be a victory cry like no other.

2nd. If it did come out 2 things would happen with the "pro" teams/players. Either (A): They'd move to SC2 and start all over again. Thus putting everyone on the same playing field for a time and possibly bringing new "pros" out of the water. or (B): They'll all stay on SC1 because most of the noobs will fling to sc2. They'll play SC2 but only casually. SC1 will be where the tourney's are still held and everything else. It'll just be harder for noob players to win.

SC2 will come out eventually. However, right now, I think blizzards milking every cent out of WoW and SC1 that they can while the executives in the higher offices are sitting back laughing while watching people whine and complain that there'll never be an SC2.
