I have been looking for a clan to join, unsuccesfully. It seems that every clan i go to plays money maps >_<! So, just wonderin if anyone out there has any suggestions. I'm a mid-level player. I know all the strategies, just have to work on my apm so i can execute them. :)

Hmmmmmm....... most clans I have seen play fastest to, but there are some that play non-money maps. I joined a clan 2 months ago (my last clan because clans never last) and they were a pretty good clan accepting novice players. They played Lt and many other good maps and they were a good clan. I think they are still around if you want to check them out, there clan name is KoC_ and there channel is Op KoC_. Hope this helps and hope they are still around.

Is there a clan for general shit newbs which lay only non fastest maps? It is really hard for me to find a good 1v1 LT game to practice, in a clan I would probably be able to get into more games.

Check out the Battle.net channel list:
http://www.sclegacy.com/features/bnet_channels.php

It has a lot of clan channels.

--First of all, I doubt you know ALL the stratagies, as that is almost impossible, perfectibly speaking. lol But in any case, I would rather suggest that instead of joining a clan of immature morons who have little personal life, i would suggest you do something more productive with your time. Schoolwork, making maps, freinds, etc., are always good places to start. Clans require a LOT of your free time, of which will be less and less as time goes by, forcing you to make sacrifices of other more important things. Not only do they require alot of time, they are often full of immature morons who are concerened with little more than making their "mark" on battle.net. A pathetic goal, which will show you little reward for joining them. Sometimes some clans will do fun things like make maps, or hold tournements among players, and be pretty nice, freindly places, but most of them are pathetic whiny losers who argue amongst each other constantly, and destroy the bonds between each other before a chance at a good clan can even be formed.
--My advice to you is simple: If you make some freinds on battle.net, or such, make a small group with them. Dont go on the streets of battle.net to pick people up, this often results in recruiting assholes. Just stick with a few freinds, and do some things together as freinds, not as a clan. You'll be much happier that way anyways.
