I downloaded this .exe file, and it seemed to have decided to download this other file. It's called "spylock" and I can't seem to get rid of it. Please help.

Step 1) Virus scan. See this thread for details: http://www.warboards.org/showthread.php?t=4133

They have a tool that claims to remove it, but also give you manual instructions for stopping the processes, and cleaning your file system and registry. If you feel like trusting this site, go ahead and download the tool, but I would probably just go ahead and follow the manual instructions. They shouldn't be too difficult to follow if you've read their instructions (the "Learn How to Do This" links).
Actually, recommending that you go play in the registry might be a bad idea. If you do go the manual route, then you should back up your registry first, just in case something goes awry. To do this:
Click: Start Menu -> Run
Type: regedit <enter>
Click: File -> Export
At the bottom of this window, select "All" under Export Range. Navigate to where you want to save, type a filename, and click "Save"
If you screw up your computer royally, then you should hopefully be able to get into safe mode and restore the registry from your backup. But that shouldn't happen if you're careful.
EDIT: Yeah, yeah, yeah, try using Spybot S&D or Lavasoft Ad-Aware before you play in the registry.

I ran S&D, it said it got rid of everything, but there's still this annoying little icon in the corner that sprouts this pop up. Is there any way to get rid of this?
EDIT: NVM, I got rid of it manually. Thanks a million guys
