The open beta started, in case anybody is interested in giving it a try.

I just finished downloading it (4GB!) and am installing now, will probably post back once I've had a chance to play it some.

Only got to level 3 but it seems a lot like WoW so far.

ewwwwww, im not very fond of it, the world is too predictable and i dont think it has that right atmosphere to it, anywho it was a good several hours from the WII LOL.

Only got to level 3 but it seems a lot like WoW so far.

It's a lot prettier than WoW. ;)

At first glance, I think the class skills/bonuses system is a lot better than WoW's, being more based on achieving specific goals instead of a level requirement. I'm downloading it right now (going REAL slow, even over 'torrent), so I guess I'll have something better/more definitive to say later.

But the interface is certainly a lot like WoW, I have to admit that. I'm thrown off by the coloring of item links. Yellow? ZWTFX?! :o hehe.

I can definitely understand that. I haven't had a chance to play LOTRO more, partially because it made me want to play WoW again...

It has no PvP and it's RP oriented, but I can definitely see the appeal. Still, I take WoW over this, but LOTRO has one thing WoW doesn't: people who can actually spell correctly. Besides, Dwarves are fun, if only to make fun of the Elves.
