So i switched computers a couple days ago, from a complete PoS to something conciderably better, im on Windows 2000 server now (rather than 98) but when i went on bnet every single game lagged for me, or rather i lagged and as such i can't get into any games. I did get into one or two, however, and once in them i was running just fine.

wtf?

hmm... I dont really know much about this, but its probably something with your internet connection, or maybe your firewall, i dont know. Even though its starcraft related, this should probably be in the Members lounge > tech annex section, becasue its relating to technical issues with your comp.

P.S. Welcome to Warboards! Enjoy your stay here!
P.S.S. Dont make a new thread in tech annex though, a moderater will probably move this.

Your new computer is probably running low on memory. Or your new internet is worse than your old one.

According to what hey says is that the game didnt lag he only had DL and this is because of the new computer not previousally having the map in which he is trying to play

BTW pay attention to the parts that I bolded in the quote

Yeah, but if your download is slow, then you most probably will lag in game.

wtf?what kind of internet connection is it? do you have a firewall? try logging out then into battle.net Again, could be a firewall. are you on a network? does the network have a firewall? you may need to setup portforwarding on your server/router. Don't ask me how to do any of this, but that may be your problem
