I don't think there should be patches until the game is balanced. I think that there should be a mandatory patch every x months (6?). Each mandatory patch will evalutate the current unit/hero usage stats collected on BNET, and would then either buff the under-used units, or nerf the overused ones.

That way, you are always playing a fresh, new game. New units are always rotating in, getting more or less spotlight. Now, I don't mean buff as in give MG 20 more damage per hit, but well thought out and hopefully improving buffs, such as giving MG's different attack types (why would a club give him siege? Make the club give him stun+splash damage on units!).

What do you think? Should the game reach perfection then be done with patches? Do you think we are close to done being patched in WC3? Why?

Patches...Yeah,really they should first think and then release a patch. It can be more than 6 months,no matter, but it don't looks very extra.Patch after patch has no mind.Blizz' can do such a things with ONLY one patch,really...

After everypatch there is always new things to exploit, units to abuse, bugs from the patch. You cant just do one big patch, that would bring heaps of those things in, the only way is patch after patch.

We arent paying them to patch the game, so why should they? Unless it sells the games off the shelves its a waist of time and money for them.

Blizzard has done a really good job at patching there F2P games, heaps of patches for all three universes.

Completely off topic, but I wrote a Starcraft (fan fiction?) story over in Creative Concepts. Here's a link to the thread http://www.warboards.org/showthread.php?p=448977#post448977

Let me know what you think. It's on the 2nd page. I'd really like some good, constructive criticism. Someday, I'd like to publish something, and this is the first thing I've written that other people could see so.. yeah. Thanks!

I think heros like alchy and units like ghouls should be insanely buffed so typical cookie cutters are like "wtf what hero/units do i use now"

Night-Elf would die. But I agree that underused heroes should be buffed and overused heroes should be nerfed until there are such a variety of strategies that it's pretty much balanced. I think that would be a good way to go about things.

Ghouls get used all the time. At Tier 3 they destroy most ground units. They don't need buffing.

Hmm, I agree with you grog. However, I am finding that by using a little variation here and there gives me an advantage. So "under-used" units, don't need to be buffed THAT much imo. just a tiny bit to encourage variation.

How about ill go NE, and use tavern heros and still beat you? Its obvious your not good at all. Ill prove how completely wrong your theory is.

Blacker, I thought the same about NE when I first played them. Then relized I was completely wrong. Archers have amazing DPS and elunes grace. Hunts are lawlo riffic at tier 1. Thier ancients are wtfpwn, you can expo easier than human can(just not as fast). Then at tier 2 drayds are amongst the lamest things I've ever seen. Add to that, druid of the talon against orc is lawl. Bears are damn good with rejuve, and hippos = amazing AA.

However, units aside, they don't need any units. They have, the demon hunter. Nuff said.

You can say a certain race is the "worst", there all "pretty" well balanced, after what 20+ patches they would have to be.

All the races have there Pro's and Con's, its just that NE seem to be a more range oriented race, so there units will have lower armor/health, then that of Orc, the only thing that could be imbalanced in the game are the DH, items, maps, thats pretty much it really. You could also look into build time of buildings and all that shit but do we want to....
