I just made a new map for warcraft 3 problem is i cant host it and i want it played because i think its awesome! :) can anyone help, and if you can and i get it hosted plz could someone from here host and if they can plz add me (yaksmanofages) and let me and some others play it first, thank you.

most likely i wont check this again soon, so please tell me over warcraft III weather you can or just for me to check the message

Are you behind a router. If you are then go here: http://portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/routerindex.htm

Find your router model and follow the steps to get Warcraft working.

You should be able to host afterwards.

hey if you share a key code with someone will that affect your hosting abilitys, even if they arent playing (i use a friends comp to play warcraft 3 on and he shares a key code with another friend)

also i don't get what the heak hes talking about (port forwarding and triggering) can you explain in a better way (easier to understand) because i'm not very computer savy

about that your web site wont let me upload it it says im not a using on your main page (page with the link that lets you upload warcraft maps) if you really want i can give the name i called it but untill i can upload it i can do anything else

Nah, Tharisfal hasn't spoke of anything related to triggering. Instead he pointed that if you share the same CD-Key with other friend then problems like that might arise.

Btw HelpPlz, I trust that if you head into the link Tharisfal provided and follow it's instructions you'll be able to fix it on your own.
Also, if you have a firewall application that might be somewhat preventing your connection to go on it's best performance rate thus explaining the problem.
In the mid time since this doesn't seem to be exactly a mapping problem but instead a technical problem, I'll move this into the Tech' Annex. As always, feel free to ask here whatever doubts arise while pertaining this hassle you've got. ;)

CD key and everything are operational even my bro who is practically a comp designer (isn't) could not fix the problem i am having with hosting and the only thing we could think of is that when we switched over to wireless (i could host before [over a land line]) that it was a firewall our provider put up and that we cant get though to host, more over like i already PM'ed grassdragon i cant even post my map here because the page where you have to log into (click on the warcraft link at the top of the page, go to custom map, and so on) says i have an INVALID USER NAME OR PASSWORD i'm at the end of my rope guys, if you guys want i can tell you which map i modified and how i did it and just put your name in like a [credit to] box like i put but i would rather not as i hate sharing glory (no offense)

sorry guys but it seems since i am not an administrator on this computer it did not dl right i will try again maybe if i can get onto an admin account someday

The problem you're experiencing is almost assuredly related to your new firewall program and/or the new wireless net connection you have.
To help we to know what you exactly did, the firewall program it is and if your wireless connection runs other stuff (thinking games here) when you get on line. ;)

And HelpPlz, in my PM's I recall saying specifically (and explaining) how to attach maps on WB's, not WC.org. :P

sorry for freaking out on you and i hope your not too miffed but i just figured out how to do what you said and i think if when you save the file then stick it into your map folder in your warcraft folder and then open war editor and then open it from THERE it will work

How could we get it to work if we don't know what's not right with it, if there is anything wrong with it to start with. :confused:
From what I've seen so far, it undoubtedly must be a connection/firewall issue. Now if it does involve your WC3-TFT password to go on line or not that I assuredly don't know.
