Is it possible to ally with the other forces when playing the computer in Custom Mode? If so, how? Thanks!

No, you can only ally with other humans, which you can only play against on the "multiplayer" option, not custom mode. You can however, ally computers with or against each other, and ally humans with comps using triggers.

To ally a comp in UMS roughly follow:

Conditions:
- Always

Actions:
- Set player # to ally
(under the 'set aliance stats' action)

No, I don't think so. I can play a 2v2 Comps with me and a comp vs 2 comps by going into Multiplayer, then Direct Connection, then creating a game with the comps and starting the game.

Well, you can do this:

Start as if you were going to play a multiplayer game in a LAN -it doesn't matter whether your are in a LAN or not-, and then chose "Top versus Bottom" playing modality. Thus you can chose to have allied computer players with shared vision.

The Top Versus Bottom feature really helps a lot, I don't mind playing 2v2 against 2 human and 1 ally comps. Although it would be rather hard but it's better than just go 1v2.

So the answer is.....use the top versus bottom instead of melee.
