I'm not personally going to get a Wii because i'm a first person shooter fan and wii is pretty horrible at FPS.

but my friend has a Wii and let me tell you, Madden for that thing is an absolute blast.

Wii not good at FPS? I would've thought the opposite. Anyway, I probably won't get a Wii until 1-I get a job and 2-I get a broadband 'net connection so I can do what I really, really want to do and play all those old games on the Virtual Console. Besides, PS3 and Xbox360 both suck. I've played both - they're just PS2 and Xbox with better graphics and crappier games. If you don't like Wii...stick with a PC :P .

Get Twilight Princess, at least, for Wii. Awesome game.

well at least you make your biases easily identified.

you've obviously never played an FPS on Wii. It's pretty much pathetic. your arm gets tired, the aiming is very touchy and for the most part inaccurate. Call of Duty 3 is probably the worst. If you don't constantly point the Wiimote at the screen, the camera goes crazy and jerks around. Also, the Wiimote doesn't have enough buttons to easily control everything needed to play. I honestly think the Wiimote's button layout is just fucking retarded. The "1" and "2" buttons are very hard to reach with the thumb as they sit directly underneath the palm, and the "-" and "+" buttons are too small.

Wii's rock, congrats.

But I agree with with ZDS. Wii controls are VERY on FPS's. Its quite annoying.

One game you must get is Zelda: Twilight rincess. fighting enemies = omg fun and aiming with the bow is very easy, with pinpoint accuracy.

Nope, I've only played boxing on Wii, to tell you the truth. But I'm a N fan all the way, and I've played both other systems and left feeling quite dissatisfied.

I already own it for Gamecube so no point buying the WII Edition.

I own Call of duty 3 and redsteel, my arms dont get sore because i rest them on my lap, i havent had a problem with inaccuracy, it is really touchy though but easy to get used to.

Uugh. DBZ gets so boring after 3 minutes. Go here, win, go there, win, go there, win. There's absolute no variety to the mission structure at all. It seems like 1 fight in this game covers 30-50 episodes of the tv show, there's just nothing gripping at all about that game.

Have you played it? based on said rendition, you obviously haven't, as it covers the story of the show very well, and the game play is so fun that its easily worth the buy.

Aww man, you shouldn't have taken Red Steel! IMO, it really isn't such a good game

I own it. And finished the game really, really easily. There's no drama of the show, or feel of those big battles. I easily defeated everyone by doing the big 'bitchslap' (hold a and move the remote quickly for a powerpunch) over and over until the ki is charged. Then supermove away. Not to mention some of those battles were just plain stupid. The Mr. Satan battles for instance. Against cell and 17 or 18 and having to win. Stupid. Have more cutscenes in those games or some bonus objectives. Spice up the varity of the gameplay for the single player component. There's lots left out of the tv show. How many 'chapters' of DBZ covered alone Goku training and the Z fighters training to prepare for Vegeta and Nappa? None? Or was it 2? So few it's not even funny. The game just didn't have that DBZ spirit.

I love Z: TP. Its so fun on the Wii, although I got stuck at the point when you have to protect the caravn.

I plan on bomb-arrowing the crap out of anyone who gets in my way.

The first time I played Call of Duty 3 for the Wii I got so frustrated I threw my control down on the ground and turned the Wii off. It was impossible to aim at anything and the random screen movement was starting to hurt my eyes. 30 minutes later I came back and started playing it. Now my only complaint is that the game needed more difficulty levels :(

Nice.
Oh, and dayoh? How did you beat that part?

Oh, and dayoh? How did you beat that part?

Well the caravan only moves forward (like to the next area), when it isnt under attack so u have to pretty much clear everyone. It turned out to be a mad scramble of slashing the mounted orc guys whilst arrowing and slashing the airborne foes, theres no real strategy just attack like mad lol.

2 questions, since I'll be working this summer after the semester is over and I probably will try to get a Wii

1) Is it backwards compatible with gamecube games?
2) Other than the lazer-beam controller, does it have regular controllers? Or, can you use GC controllers?
3) Is the online function free?

Thanks.

thats three questions

1)With every gamecube game there is
2)it can use gamecube controllers, but most Wii games, save a few only let you use the Wiimote
3) So far, yes. But you do need to purchase the games for the virtual console with Wii points, which are approz 2000 for $20, nes games being 500 points, tubro grafix 16 being 600 points, snes and sega genesis games being 800 points, and n64 games being 1000 points. which In my oppinion are reasonable numbers.

The online function is free with all nintendo titles, mario, metriod, smash bros etc.

Im not sure about third party titles, but i think they are free online aswell.
