I can only imagine! I remember when PSP came out, I had it on day 1 along with Untold Legends and some other games. Anyway, that game was almost unplayable on a mobile platform due to the loading times alone! They supposedly fixed that in the game's sequel, but they lost a customer with their first shitty product. Besides, I got bored with Diablo years ago.

Is it the PC/Xbox 360 version of oblivion or a simplified version? They released a cellphone game under the name oblivion but since this game is $45 I'd hope it was the actaul game, even if it had toned down graphics.

I hear the cell phone game was absolutely horrendous.

The PSP can easily handle relatively complex 3D graphics. It's basically a miniture version of the Xbox/PS3/PC version, except maybe shorter and with a smaller world (the UMDs they come on, after all, can only hold 1.8 GBs).

There is only so much you can run with 32 meg ram.

I don't think you understand how small the textures can be on PSP and still look good. the screen is absolutely tiny. textures that fill the entire screen can only take maybe 9 or 10k at most. Geometry isn't exactly RAM intensive and there's no advanced lighting or particle effects going on here...

but this is an elderscrolls game. They have to load an area that decent or it will load every 30 secounds. But meh your right. Phsyics can be intensive though.

I'd like to correct the game title you put here.
It is Elder Scrolls IV Travels: Oblivion.
It is a whole different game than the Oblivion we all know and love, and is more dungeon based, the graphics have been given a massive downgrade as well. Face it, the PSP can't handle the XBox 360's speed, and the PS3's video card awesomeness, nor the 1 gig of ram required to play oblivion on the computer.

Honestly, it is more like:
This:

Compared to this:

Ok, ok, jk. the second one was from elder scroll arena.. the first elderscrolls (which actually kicks some serious ass).
Still, the graphical detail isn't very great, go get an EGM magazine and look for youself

If this really is a Oblivion port which it can't be it would have some sort of physics. My point is it would be very hard to fit and run the game even if you toned down the graphics alot.

i don't think you're understanding what it is. It's a completely new game, new story, new weapons, new landscape etc.

Aha, you answered my question. Isn't travels the cellphone games? In which case isn't it not worth $45?

Yes, it is on the cell phone, did you honestly think your 350 MHz processor could take Oblivion? The PSP was meant mostly for gaming, so the graphics won't be AS bad, and the phisics/AI will be toned down as well.

He's right ^
