I'm looking for some good sets of brushes to use. I figured I'd ask here because there's plenty of photoshop savvy users. Anyways what are some of the best brushes you've used?
Two specifics I'm looking for would be:
1. "scratch" tye brush. (like a small thin type)
2. a random noise brush.
if anyone knows of brushes like that the ost away please. But I am open to other brushes so if you know of a different but really good brush feel free to share it also.

Hm, for the random noise brush, you can just use the noise filter(Filter>Noise>Add Noise), and set it at "Multiply." Then mask(Or erase) away the parts you don't want.
Or, alternately, you can take a tiny round white brush, and goto brush settings or window(Window> Brushes). Now check "Scattering" and play around with the settings to get a desired effect. Here, your random noise brush. :P
And when you meant "Scratch", I think maybe some grunge brushes(Will link later if got the time, now too lazy) should work. I've searched for some scratch burshes on dA (http://browse.deviantart.com/resources/applications/psbrushes/?catpath=resources%2Fapplications%2Fpsbrushes%2F&q=scratch), but IMHO, scratches wouldn't look great until went through some editing and (possibly) filtering. I would post how, but seriously not in the mood. Sorry.
what I ment by scratch was more in line with this:

Not HUGE 500x500 mega scores but scratches that could be applied to a hard surface texture.

Well, there were really a number (http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/37216568/?qo=51&q=boost%3Apopular+in%3Aresources%2Fapplications%2F psbrushes+scratch) of good (http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/37340493/?qo=46&q=boost%3Apopular+in%3Aresources%2Fapplications%2F psbrushes+scratch) scratch (http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/20424977/?qo=25&q=boost%3Apopular+in%3Aresources%2Fapplications%2F psbrushes+scratch)brushes (http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/34652881/?qo=39&q=boost%3Apopular+in%3Aresources%2Fapplications%2F psbrushes+scratch) which fit your description in the search result which I linked. You should have checked those.
But, like I said, they would look a lot better if some editing was done over it.
Huh, that's strange. The links you have in that post work. But the search one doesn't show anything for me.
I've actually created some of my own "scratchy" brushes yesterday. They look fairly decent if I do say so myself. :D

Hm... Maybe it's because I'm logged in?

Nice. Well, would love to see them when you're done using them. :)
