View Full Version : X-Wing anyone?
The result of extreme boredom...

took about 5 hours. Most of that was texturing/rendering. (yafray takes sooooo loooooonnnng... :E) I'm thinking about creating a custom UV dirtmap for at least the hull to make it a little more interesting. (vs the current dirt setup of clouds proceedurals)

I think the long front(What should it be called?) is too short. The cockpit also seems a bit too big since X-Wings are pretty huge compared side-by-side to people. Oh, and the R2-D2 should be dirty too, like the rest of the fighter.
But, good job overall. This is really nice. ;)

Actually, looking at it the looking at my reference photos it's the rear area (where the wing roots are) that's seems a little short.
The R2 unit used to be dirty. However with the dirt it blended in too much with the X-wing itself so I opted to leave it out.
I'm working on maps for it now. If they turn out good I'll repost it with the new improved "paint".
