What are some good lesser known games you guys play, we all hear plenty about DOW, Oblivion, Total war & WoW but there are plenty of games which are more enjoyable but less known.
2 games which I have been playing a lot recently are mount and blade, which is a medieval/fantasy game based centrally around small skirmishs which play around a single player controlled character supported by AI, I just find it addictively fun on how they have worked the combat/archery/horsemanship so seemlessly and mostly balanced, the RP elements are lacking but there are a few mods out there which make it more fun, and it is a cheap game to get about $15 US when I got it, it gives you a key to download, twice (or on 2 seperate computers) with in the first month then an extra download each month if you need it.

Another game is X3 reunion, this is a sci fi based on space/gallaxy gameplay, this game is very very slow to begin with, you fly in small sectors about orbit and go through 'warpgates' to travel the universe but travelling within the systems takes alot of time I am constantly pushing the button to speed up the time to 10x. And the differances between classes of ships are quite significant so any ship of a higher class will likely own you and it takes a long long time to upgrade to the next class, but aside from that, when you are at a stage when the game isn't progressing painfully slow it is a very fun game.

These games may be well known, but the heros series are fun RPGs.

Praetorians. One of the best RTs's, IMO.

some games i know of are Carmageddon 3 TDR 2000 this game is pritty coll and pritty funny. its like GTA cause you do missions get money and buy new cars (you can even get a suped up bath tub lol). this game takes place after a nuclear war so theres some zombies and mutants around. when you run some1 over you can pause and see their eyeballs flying out and blood everywhere:)! when you crash into dumpsters you often see people throwing our human body parts like hands and feet. you have different locations to go to. you start out in holly wood and go to different places like copland, down down in a big city i cant rmember the name. its a really fun game.:_penguin:

Star Wars Battlefront 1+2 (PS2). I have these for my PS2, thought they'd be easy and quick game, but they actually have quite a bit of depth to them.

Xenosaga (PS2). I beat the first one, never actually got the 2nd and 3rd. I really wish I wasn't in college and paying rent, cause these are MUST HAVES. Definitely very good story-wise and gameplay wise.

Zelda:WW (GC). Probably the only game on GC I beat 3 times.

Battle Realms(Hope it's counted as "lesser known"). Although it is quite easy, but I just love the gameplay.

Robot Arena 2. Probably disowned for it's relatively easy difficulty. Still fun to make your own bots and massacre the AI. And it's fun with friends.

Wind Waker was SO not smaller.

I got it cause i was a fan of the GB ones, if it had multiplayer it would have been so much better but i like it.

Wind Waker was good but i dont think its one of the lesser known it headlined several "nintendo" mags for months.

I just put WW cause I figured this was a blizzard site, and any non-blizz game would be "lesser known".

Eh, fair enough. Though I thought ALL greatest hits/platinum hits/players choice games to be 'big'.

Actually thats quite a popular game during its reign. Then everything fell back into the hands of Halo.

I wouldn't know any lesser known games because i usually go for "name brand" games. During my entire childhood i always played the 2nd hand things because at the time thats all my family could afford. Now i aim for highly reviewed stuff.

Man, i wish Dead Rising would be released for PC. If Capcom did that, i would be so happy.
