Blizzard does it again!

Yap thats right, Blizzard has done it again.
Although Blizzard are not directly participating at GDC 2007, blizzard rep. hinted at possible date for one new game Blizzard is developing.
"Acording to the sources blizzard rep. hinted that they are working on a new game and that they are working hard to have the new game ship just before 2008." When asked what that game is blizzard rep. told the media: "you'll know when we officially announce it".

So here it is the first hard proof that Blizzard are working on a new game and hopfully that game is Starcraft 2.

Man, you can't be serious about this being hard proof. Until the actually announce what game they're developing, it's mere speculation. For all we know it could be Diablo 3 or WC4 [Although the latter is really unlikely]
Also, you'd get more credibility from your post if you could provide linkage to an article that supports what you're saying... or you'll have forumers flaming you in no time :O

But let's all pray it's SC2. Wouldn't we all love that ^__^?

I think the notion of Blizzard releasing a game sometime in 2008 has meret since they have only been working on WoW for a long time now. They have had years to be building a game without us knowing. I think Blizzard learned from their previous mistakes of announcing a game, then delaying it for 2 years. This time, it seems they just didnt say anything about what theyve been working on for years.

On the BC launched a Blizz Rep announced that they have several titles in development and he cant wait to stand here again and announce it.
Everyone already knows blizzard is working on something, whether it be a D3 or SC2.

We know for certain a new WoW expansion will be anounced/released next year (there planning on one expansion each year).

I could really see a SC2, when they started Ghost that ment they were right into SC again so they havent forgotton it now with it cancelled i think they wanted SC to stay RTS personnally, so id say expect an announcement for a new WoW and SC2 :P

O.O so does that mean a "leak" will happen at GDC or what? that doesnt really help stir the rumor mill around any more than it alrdy is....

It might be StarCraft Ghost and they picked it up again. That'd be sad if SC2 comes out, than the SoW team would be screwed.

Lol idc, Starcraft is cool if SoW gets beat by Blizzard it is only natural. I really hope it is Sc2 or a new game 0.0

Makes sense that they'd release something new for the StarCraft franchise... it's finally losing momentum in korea I hear. They only kept it for this years WCG because of it's antiquity, even though it was voted out.

I'd like it to be SC II, but I doubt it.

I don't think Blizzard could put out a game as complicated as StarCraft II out before the end of this year. That's only nine or ten months from now!

Blizzard always has trouble meeting deadlines, although I believe they once said they wouldn't announce games so far ahead of time. Still, getting a game out by year's end is just wishful thinking on Blizzard's part. I'd definitely would like to see them announce StarCraft II before the end of the year, however (and the sooner, the better).

By the way, what is the source?
