just a fluke post :)... my sister started playing SC and says she thinks shes the ONLY girl on BNET. lol, i laughed... i haven't ever played a girl. Have you guys? how many girls do yall think actually play online?
it's probably 1/20 players are girls.

You can only go by their screen name, so it's pretty impossible to tell, unless their name is tossgirl or protosschick99. On the other hand, it just may be a fat, bald, 40 year old man trying to pretend like he's a girl. :shiftyl:

I met about ~12 girls on battle.net within 6 years, maybe more (hard to know if they don't say). All with different attitudes, skill level, and age... I met an 8 year old girl and an > 18 year old before. Weird... <cough>
StarCraft seems to be an undead master bickering for random recruits... :|

haha lol, yeah i guess theres no way to really tell though because it could be someone posing as a girl. theres no way its 1/2o though. more like 1/50

no I think 1/20 is about right, though most are only there because they are teenagers and it's the interest of their bf's and so they play it too. It's more common then you probably realize.

Really lol. I think the only time I have seen a girl on b.net is once in diplo and is on my friends list and everybody kept on getting spammed by a wierd bot that was "go to my profile for some hot pics" maybe a girl bot?

I assume anyone who says they are a girl out of nowhere is a man. Also it really shouldn't effect my behavior anyway so I prefer not to know.

The male population on B.net is realy much larger than the female. That's plain but I think ixi is right in about 1/20 maybe.
Of course if people would just put "M" or "F" in the "Sex" box instead of "yes!", "yespls", "sure", or "I<3sex" then it wouldn't be hard at all to know would it? :P

You probably got it because you called out GD. I know it sounds stupid but that's one of the rules here. No calling out other members. The other one you got was probably from the way you posed the "question".
That's all the explaining I'll do for now. (probably get an infraction myself for that thnxverymuch. -.-) If you want more info, take it up with a mod.

And Alex, I know for fact that AJ told you exactly why you got those infractions, don't act all innocent.
Warboards can be a pretty lax, easygoing place -- we don't have rules against ANY cursing, or bad language. Rather we would prefer that you keep it to minimum. I know I sometimes do that.
However, the way you posted was uncalled for. Add to the that the fact that it was basically spam + trolling + flaming -- it can't be a surprise to anyone that you got an infraction for it.

Yes girls fucking game. It isn't some miniscule number either. Over a 1/3rd of gamers, are *gasp* female. The number is also rising, and has been. There are even reports that in some genre's of games -- online, or console -- that girls account for almost HALF. So really, get over the whole "girl's don't game" bull.
Thats just what they want you to think =p As for the old guys pretending to be girls. Unless you routinely cyber girls on your (GAMING) friend's list, then I strongly doubt that happens all that often. As for teen-young adult guys pretending to be girls... well I've seen that happen all to often. Even here on warboards.
