Ok, i'll post a blog article i found explaining why blizzard are working on starcraft 2.
here it goes:
Blizzard is most certanly working on new game now, it's been recruting staff for so long time, many of which positions
were directly for strategy game developers/staff from which number of rumors appeared!
Blizzard recently started posting quite a lot positions for WOW related development and stuff, which also indicates
many of the old Blizzard developers are transfering to a new game.
The rumors about Blizzard making/releasing 3 new games is not-true from obvious reasons.
- Blizzard only makes one game at a time in order to make it as better as possible.
- Theres no proof or even some statement which can be taken as blizzard pointing that it's developing 3 games.

So basicly WOW is already more than 2 years old, they recently released WOW expansion and the obvious conclusion
is that they are hard at work on a new-old game! The question is what game?
-Is it Diablo 3, Warcraft 4, Starcraft 2 or mauby some totally new game!

If you check all their release dates and ways of releasing games you'll see that Starcraft 2 should be their next game.
Blizzard first game was Warcraft then Warcraft 2, warcraft 2 expansion, Diablo, Starcraft, Starcraft expansion, Diablo 2,
Diablo 2 expansion, Warcraft 3, Warcraft 3 expansion, WOW, WOW expansion.
From this we se that all of the other game universes are covered except Starcraft which only has 2 titles are are last
from the last visited game universe! Furthermore 2008 year will mark 10 years of the first Starcraft game.
So if you ask me Starcraft 2 is the next game we'll see from Blizzard, which i think it's been in the development now for
around 4-5 months.
Well than when can we expect Blizzard to officially announce the Starcraft 2? - I'd say anytime is possible but the most
logical date would be Q3 2006.

Hmm... this just tells me what I already know. Logical announce/release date is not Q2 or Q3. People are forgetting BlizzCon, the annual blizzard convention -- If I may recall, quite a few games have been announced there in the past. If it will be announced, BlizzCon will be the place, and release will be in Q4 to maximize sales before the end of he year.
However, with SC so popular, copies will fly off the shelves, no matter when #2 is released.

This whole blog consists of incoherent rambling. Which leads me to believe some 14 year old is stating a theory that came out of his head.

But who's to say blizz is repetitive? They can do whatever the hell they want. As far as I know, they've never established some sort of a 'code' to abide by, when it comes to making games.

Not to mention it's a completely different league entirely to know for a fact that a representitive made the statement of 3 product announcements to be arriving at some point this year. An announcement deadline contains alot more leeway. It's just a time for when the hype kicks off; and a time in which they feel they can control and excite people with the material they have. There's no perfection, they merely have to create a sense of anticipation and excitement for any one of their games.

And who's to say they'll all be announced at once?

And who the hell wrote the blog anyway? Almost sounds as if you wrote it... and if you didn't, you would've known not to pay attention to it.

What's with you and the number 10 anyway, my friend?

EDIT: I believe, in whatever the hell you were getting at, you were trying to say that you wrote it. Which fully justifies what I said.

Now all we need is for K'tan to get over here and cllose it. K'tan! We need you buddy!

Incoherent, Illogical, Idiotic, Inconclusive and Irrational.

Sorry, nice try, but posting the low brow rags of a blog doesn't really but it when it comes to theories. Harsh, but most of the blog is so full of wishful thinking that it may just start floating into the upper stratosphere.

Locked.
