A friend of mine heard from a friend of his that Blizzard is working on an OS X Star Craft installer. I searched Blizzard's site, but came up empty. Is there anyone that knows if there's any credibility to this?

Not that I know of.

My friend installed Windows StarCraft on OSX using Virtual PC and then used the latest Mac patch to get it to work on his computer, though...

If you go to www.battle.net and scroll down to the 12th news post, they have a Mac OS X installer for Diablo and at the end of the post, it says that an OS X installer for Starcraft is in the works.

Yes! Extra thank you to you StealthyDeath. I have lag with mine, cause I took OS 9 off a couple years ago, so I installed it on my Mac that's older, then transferred it to my iMac & installed the OS X patches.
