Stolen straight from the WCR forums, but it's so funny, I couldn't resist. Some of you probably will have seen them, but they're still ridiculously good.

Hope you got a laugh out of those, my favouite was probably the "hanging man" calculus. Either that, or the elephant.
Loved the hanging man calculus.
There were a couple of really really old ones in there, liked the engineer question to (slept with his bosses wife ;P)
I'd be interested to know what kind of grades these ended up with, heh.

Haha, someone had posted the "find x" picture as the background of computer in my math class, and my math class thought it was pretty funny. So I'm going to replace it with another one of these pictures.

The engineer one was really funny. Especially with the "Jathen... Oh dear!"

So simple, so elegant. ++karma for them [but not for you, Red :P]

The "find x" and "describe the curve" come from a series of hilarious ones... let me see if I can find the others. Those two are among my favourites ever, though.
Ah, here they are.

I can't verify this, but I remember my english teacher was telling me one day about some smart ass answers he had recieved on exams.
One of my favourites was this:
What is the definition of Irony?
The answer went like this:
Like goldy or bronzy, except with iron.
I got a kick out of it.
Hyuck,Hyuck,Hyuck,Hyuck,Hyuck,...
Zenox Likes :D who answered these???
What a dupe.. what an idiot..what a......
..Hey wait.. aren't those my exams?

Sounds like something I would do, lol.
I remember I put some answer on an english exam on roots/suffixes that went something like this:
An- (definition, and a word and an example of using the word in a sentence. Mind you it had to be a word from a list she gave us with about 50 words for the suffixes.)
I put:
An-State of-Annoying(not a word on the list)-Doing an annoying exam on roots and suffixes that we will never need.
It's not that funny, but it's the only one I can remember =P

I just remembered a rumor that went around about an college applicant's response to one of those application essays. The topic was something like "What is Courage?" and he wrote, "Courage is writing one sentence on your college app".

At the beginning of the school year here I had a physics test, but the teacher dictated the questions instead of giving it to us written down. There was no way I was going to understand the questions in Slovak well enough to write them down, so I just made up my own answers. On one half of the page I put the Schrodinger equation and the Heisenberg uncertainty principle, and on the other side I put the proof for why girls are evil. I never got the test back; I guess she didn't think it was funny :concern:

lol
whenever I get a question thats like "Explain why when the mass is pushed down the slope, the rope .... etc." I just answer, "No."
and on the back of a test we took in physics on sound and waves, for the whole back page here were my answers:
28: OOPS
29:I
30: SHOULD
31: HAVE
32: DONE
33: MY
34: HOMEWORK!

oh oh oh! gimme the proof of why girls are evil! I need it really badly.. please? :D
Usually I take my tests seriously. But after looking through this I think my next test may have a few wrong answers. :>

I loved the expand and the elephant one. For the elephant, the circle and the question mark are priceless. Just imagine the instructors face.
Some of those were probably real, but I have difficulty believing some of the others. Lol. ;)

I have a funny school-related story. Nothing to do with exam answers, no, this one is a "forgot my homework" excuse. The student tells the teacher, when asked where his homework is:
"Well, see, I did my homework and when I was finished I folded it and put it in my back pocket. My pencil was in my pocket upside down, and I guess when I was walking the pencil erased my paper!"

I'm one of those in my class who does smart-butt answers in my textbooks. but i'd never do that in a exam.
... this makes me confused why i'm top 6 in class.

Depending on whether Evil is positive or negative, Girls are either positive or negative evil. Since evil is negative, Girls must be minus Evil, hence positive.
You're wrong BB, the ^2 is the last action taken so the result will always be positive.
Zeltaris
02-18-2007, 2:47 PM
Actually, Aqo, he's correct, since that ^2 cancels out with the square root. However, you're also wrong, BB. If evil is negative, then Money, which is the sq.. root of evil would be imaginary or undetermined, I don't remember which.
However, since all the above reasonings are lame and nerdy, they must die.So let's all stop making geeky conclusions and accept that girls are evil
Empirical evidence proves it ;)

Its "Greed for money is root of all evil".
Actually it's "the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil" but that doesn't sound as bad as just saying money is the root of all evil. But I just thought I would point out how none of the women folk have come by and disputed the fact that they're evil. I find that to be the most convincing proof, not even they can deny it.

I have a plan to print this and hand it out in the centre of Manchester. Think people would buy it?

Because your school sucks?
depending upon whether or not girls are positive...
That's kind of a noobie math mistake...I'm surprised, BB.
I was actually reading these on Sunday at work and laughing, my boss (60 year old man) asks me why I'm laughing, I tell him some, he starts laughing too. For a minute, thought I was gonna get fired..
Good times.

I will state a classic. Q: If there are 4 girls and two boys what is the ratio of girls to boys?
A: Pretty fucking good.
rofl.
I was just reading bash and i hit a quote about some dude's class where a professor said "turn to page 404" and the kid said "I can't find it!" and the prof said "Its page 404!" and the kid said "I still can't find it!" then it said he spent 15 minutes explaining what it meant and that he felt like a complete nerd.
...heh. made me think of this thread =P

It shouldn't be times, though, it should be plus... cause it's money and time... but neugh.
So I wasn't the only one who noticed this.
So in effect, girls are 2 times the root of evil.
But if good and evil are opposites, and good is considered the positive of the two, then evil is negative, therefore the root of evil would be an imaginary number...
girls = 2i sqrt(|evil|)

Q. Where is the Taj Mahal located?
A. America, where all our money comes from.
I just did one of these jokes in class and got an A in my test. What a world we live in.

([sqrt]Evil)[squared]
If Evil is negative, it would be i ([sqrt -1]) squared. And, as any mathematician like myself knows, i squared is -1. So we basically get back to where we started. Whichever way you look at it, it works.
Someone tell me the ALT numbers for square root and a superscript 2.

Where are you seeing multiplication here? The connective word is "and" which is addition, not multiplication...

If you think that's weird you should've seen some of the stuff my Physics University teacher pulled in classes. And that safety symposium in which he made his 1st presentation was a (humourous) riot.
