Trouble with installation...

Hey there. First off, I'm using Windows XP Home Edition.


Okay, so when I go to install SC, not Brood War, the installation freezes up right when it trys to work with StarDat.mpq. Because of this, I tried the Installation off of Battle.net, only to end up getting this message.


Error in script file setupdat\setup.vis, line 27: unexpected token.


So, I'm completely confused, and I have no idea what's going on. Help? Thanks.

what condintion is your disk in
mine i had to install by making sure a certain part faced a certain direction to work
