Since it appears I'm the first to return after the downtime, I've taken it upon myself to welcome myself and the other users back to the forums. During the downtime, some of us resorted so such primitive forms of communication as AIM, telephones, and Facebook.
I must admit it is a bit odd to look at the "Who's Online" list and see only my own name. A bit creepy. Like the world has ended and I was asleep or something.
Regardless, welcome back everyone!
And yes, I'm sure AJ or someone made a post before this in the Staff Lounge, but hey, I can't see that, and neither can the average user, so it doesn't count. : p
Edit: Crap, Schwitz is online and he's private messaging...I wonder if he's about to ban me... =p

According to 'someone', AJ left town for the weekend and left WB's without a babysitter... and the rest is history. :P

Umm, yeah. I spent the weekend catching up on schoolwork. Like I should be doing now, actually. Gah, WB is so addicting. Oh well.

I registered on starcraft.org just so I could comment on this. ;) And I played a few games of Starcraft as well.
Fortunately, I had nothing better to do with my time beforehand. Well, I did, actually, but nothing that "needed" to be done. Unfortunately, now there are things which I have to do just as warboards is working again.
And seriously, addiction to the internet is a bad thing. :)

I used the 'downtime' to go to go build the set for Fame. Everyone only needed two hours, I went Saturday and Sunday and managed to put in upwards of about six hours. The upside to all that work is that the set is now DONE.
I also managed to play a couple hours of SW Battlefront II, hang out with my sister, and sing through the entire We Will Rock You soundtrack. The only thing I didn't like is turning on firefox and getting the 'connection error' message (or w/e the hell it says). And yes I know Warboards is my homepage...leave me alone. =P

So after signing up on the Wiki that Kupa's running, I realized today is now Feb 13, marking 3 years exactly since I first graced these boards. Didn't think this was worth a new thread, and I'm sure the mods will agree on that, but still wanted to note the occasion.

Don't let that fool you, SD used to be an awesome place to discuss things, but with posters like Chaos, I've not even visited it for months, its just not worth it anymore.
Which is sad, because the old SD used to be so nice, I actually learned a lot from it, however, nowadays, its just... lame. Nuts seems to be trying to help it out, but meh.
BF's CD sees more action then Tech Annex though, which is nifty. I love helping people, and the diablo section there actually has active players, rofl ;)

That's why my post count there is pretty low (after the crash). Humbleness (associated with helpful stances) isn't their forte... or so it seems many times. :concern:
I recall seeing a rookie getting somewhat flamed when asking assistance with FF (pre-crash era).
Geezus, don't even bring that excuse for a flame bait war over here. :P And incidentally, that serves to explain much of D_E's stances here too.
Although many of their oldest topics I've seen were cool.
Edit add: But spending time over there, is largely a past time to me anyway. ;)
I mainly go there from time to time to spot some of the SC mapping they're up to.

no kidding. even though i was at bf before wb, i have had second account over there for a while which was formed in the first place just for entertainment. i fuck with people all the time, but think they all like me over there more than people do here :)

I go to BF all of the time, but I never post anymore, I just scan for interesting threads, give up after a couple minutes and come back here.
SC.org was where I was born,
Blizzforums is where I was raised,
Warboards is where I live.
:)
Now now.. BF is BF.
That could mean a lot, to be fair:

BF is Boyfriend
BF is Big Flamers.
The list goeth onwards. Never been there, I'm quite happy here though.

I only started looking at Blizz forums after I saw this thread - it's sad when people go on two forums which have the same topics and (almost) the same members. :shiftyr:

That's really the main reason I don't spend much time at BF--most of the people I liked from BF moved over to WB after the split. Of course, there are a few exceptions to that, such as several roleplayers, but it seems to be a general rule in terms of everyone else.
Yeah Modred, I miss some of it's members sometimes... namely Exe', Graeme, Hunta and a few others. :(
