So after a long, drawn out road of investigation... port forwarding, and diving deep into all my network prefrences, anti-virus stuff and all that...I've realized i can't create games cuz i've got two pc's coming through a ROUTER. On battle.net sometimes at the top on that ad banner i see that ad for the gaming router... whats that all about? would that let me create games without much lag?

I've been staring at that thing too. I really don't know, but I saw a few summaries about it. It looks like a better router. But like every other router, you still need to at least port forward. I think mostly 'better' routers just have an increase interception radius and a faster speed.
But bad things can still happen, like placing your router in an extreamly bad place; inside a garage or the internet provider is acting up, which both can cause lag...
Sometimes its just having a weak router... so I think you can give it a try.

I'm talking about using a wireless connection btw, using a ethernet plug is different; since its directly connected to the router, while wireless connection has a big chance for having interference.

right right, yeah our router is pretty close, and theres no walls in-between it. So thats not it. As far as the gaming router being faster... I wonder how much. Might not be worth it.

if you want to host games, get a router that you can connect a cable into and plug it into your computer, technically, you actually have to have it hardwired into the computer for it to work... unless you have somehting like T-1, T-3, or OC-1 or 2 (which i doubt... OC-2 costs around 100,000 a month).

every router should have a direct connection.

You should be able to get highend cable for around 35$-40$
