Another year, another round of awards.
We started WarBoards as a new haven for online conversation -- a step forward in the accountability placed on the staff, the responsibility to maintain a great atmosphere for our users, and to constantly strive for the best.
It's a privilege and an honor (most of the time) to spend my days/nights toiling away on the site.
Here's to many more annual awards.

The categories and nominations this year were as follows:
The Puppet (Most Popular)
Not neccesarily the most courteous, intelligent or useful member, but still easily recognized by the collective forum.
Nominations: BlackHawk, Black.Ice, dunchy, GenocideAlive, Kongurous, Protosschick99, or Schwitzer.
The Ambassador (Most Intelligent)
People nominated for this title are of a higher calibre. They know how to construct and deliver near-flawless arguments in many serious debates.
Nominations: Black.Ice, GenocideAlive, Ktan, Modred, Nuts, Seal, TheBB, or Veeger.
The Artisan of Visions (Best Graphic Designer/Artist)
Whatever their medium may be, these members behold sights that can only be described with visual splendor.

The Jester (Most Humourous)
Laughter is their forte. Humility and Modesty are not among their characters. Hilarity and Amusement at the sake of their own hides are what they live for.

The Guide (Most Helpful)
These members devote their time to making newer members of our community feel welcome and informed. These people may also be fountains of knowledge that impart advice and instruction to fellow members who are having issues in and out of the forums.
Nominations: Aqotrooper, Basan, Black.Ice, Ktan, Modred, RedRagToAnOrc, Schwitzer, or TimP.
The Partisan (Best Moderator)
A testiment to the security, fairness, and kindness of the forums. Tirelessly ridding the forums of opposition towards the atmosphere and standards of a great forum, but always have a spare moment to lend a hand to help those in need.
Nominations: Black.Ice, dunchy, GenocideAlive, GrassDragon, hammocksleeper, Jeff, Ktan, or Kupa.
The Sceptre (Best Administrator)
The crew behind the forums work hard to ensure the things we take for granted. Always coming up with fresh ideas to better the site and the experience, they are often overlooked due to their infrequent public contact.
Nominations: AJ or Schwitzer.
New This Year:
The Turncoat (Most Improved)
Throughout the course of the year it is not uncommon to see individuals express different attitudes or personalities while a part of this network. This award goes to acknowledge that poster who has seen the greatest improvement.
Nominations: Basan, Dayoh, Flametrooper, GenocideAlive, Kongurous, or Tharisfal.
The Unsung (Least Appreciated)
There are thousands of members of the ORG Network, hundreds of which are active, contributing forces -- but there are always a few who go overlooked. They work to better the environment around them without so much as a "Thank you" for their hard efforts.
Nominations: Ahzz, Basan, BrotherGreen, BSTRhino, CrazyTom, Flametrooper, Kupa, Modred, NastyApe, Protosschick99, Seal, or TinyDancer.
The Kneebiter (Most Annoying)
While every user is appreciated, sometimes there comes along that individual who causes more hassle and unrest than any postive influence they might possess. Use this award to enlighten them to this most stunning attribute of theirs.

In an extremely close contest, he pulled ahead with the very last few votes. Our very own Schwitzer came in 2nd place, just behind.
The Ambassador: GenocideAlive
With a commanding 62% of the vote, you decided GA was among the most intelligent on the forums. May his ego not inflate too greatly. ;)
The Artisan of Visions: BlackHawk
This race seemed to slip in under the radar with all of the candidates in close contention.. sadly, someone did have to win.
The Jester: dunchy
Our sometimes drunken, usually pretty humourous winner is none other than dunchy. His presence on the forums was just too hard to vote against.
The Guide: Black.Ice
For the second year in a row we have Black.Ice as the most helpful individual on the forums. Good thing he decided to come back to the staff, late in '06.
The Partisan: Kupa
Hoping to pull a two-category two-peat, Black.Ice was very close to winning this year, but our very own moogle-loving Ne.. I mean Kupa, was able to pull ahead.
The Sceptre: AJ
With the utmost modesty, I must regrettably accept this victory over my young apprentice. May he find the path to true victory soon. <3
The Turncoat: Kongorous
Perhaps part of the reason for his other win this year, the cuddly Kongorous was most improved this year.
The Unsung: Seal
Sometimes overlooked, many times unknown -- Seal has been around these forums, and around this online community for about as long as any of us. Her contributions to this site, and especially to our IRC channel do not go unnoticed.
The Kneebiter: GenocideAlive
It is with extreme pleasure that I am able to announce GA's victory of the Most Annoying award this year. I hope his impressive intellect (as decided by you all!) is not crushed too much by this award -- though he did almost lose it there at the end.
Thank you all for a great year here at WarBoards, we have many more fresh ideas and innovative features planned for this coming year -- we hope to have several rolling out shortly.
