Just a less serious topic anyone can participate on.
So, is anyone else confused on what Infested Kerrigan is? Is she alive...dead - zombie? I personally think she is a zombie. So I think she died when Mengsk left her, and she got resurrected- reborn. Or possibly, the Zerg just kidnapped her. O.o

If she is a Zombie, is she a lifeless creature with no self thought? Or is someone else taking full control of her; possibly like an Overmind still? Is she still human, does she still have love and compassion, especially for a certain ex-marshal? Or did they die after her 'rebirth'? And is she hungry for human flesh and brains? xD
She does have that consume ability...

Anyway, I didn't recall the game specifically saying what happen. So, does anyone else has an idea what happened to her and what Infested Kerrigan might more fit under? Share 'em.

No, what I'm saying is that the zerg infestation is the one which caused the differences between her old self and the new persona (aka Zerg gene driven), which we 'fondly' call the "Queen of Blades".

Undead: Died and returned to life (or unable to die, which is pretty much the same).
Kerrigan: Got infested.
Infested =/= Died.
Infested =/= unable to die (on the contrary, they DO DIE, that's ALL THEY DO)
Thus, option #2.

Another argument is that there are two types of zombies: fantasy zombies and Sci-fic zombies. Since Starcraft is a combination between both genres, both must be considered:
Fantasy Zombie: Was returned to life due to a dark spell / curse, retaining its body but not its soul. Not the case with kerrigan.
Sci-Fic Zombie: Human that was plagued with a disease that changed the way his body works into a create whose brain was consumed and no longer exists, and now it only lives by an instinct to take others' livings' brains and consume them as well. Clearly not the case with Kerrigan.

However, certain aspects of Kerrigan may be 'undead'; such as her cells, which contain a certain dominating chemical in her genes that prevent her from aging (can't remember the name, it's on wiki... and it exists in real life). Effectively, Kerrigan's cells never die, and if they do die, whether by contact or detereoration disease... they regrow, probably at a even more rapid rate due to the complex zerg DNA infrastructure running through her. Effectively, Kerrigan is an immortal... it's a matter of opinion whether or not you consider that undead. The only way to kill her is by force, or some freak disease that not even the zerg can adapt to.... the former is far more likely.
