I finnaly got onto b.net today, and i find that it is really hard to get people to join my games. also, there is the phenomanom (i know, misspelled) of people who pop in and then pop out.
So my question is, what sort of game name attracts your attention and what sort of map and game mode as well. I would really like to find out what gets peoples attention, so i don't sit around with a failed game forever.

StarCraft. Last i checked, this was the StarCraft Debriefing Room. or was that not your question? To be more specific, i am refering to the name that you can give to a game (or match, w/e you want to call it) of StarCraft. And to map preferences and play mode (Top Vs. Bottom, Free For All, etc.)
Hope that clears it up.

I like a name that is specific and to the point. Lets say it is a 3 people versus 3 people on lost temple. A good name would be "3v3 lost temple".

i have always been having this problem where it doesnt let other people join my games, but at first i thought that they just werent interested enough to come... i once started a thread about it called battlenet help, but the thread died and i couldnt figure out how to fix it, although one person had the same problem, which he fixed with some networking thing. He said though, that dont try to do it if you have no idea what you are doing...and i didnt, so i still havent fixed it. then again, maybe with you it really is just lack of interest...
I don't think of the names at all, playing just private games anyway.

I like to play team games (3v3, generally) on Blizzard maps. I don't like names that are all in Korean; english names attract my attention.
Another thing that grabs my attention is anything starting with "7v1c" or "7:1", because I love backstabbing comp stomps ;)

Does anyone know why this is?

I like short names that are easy to type if you are following a friend into the game. Neo Lost Temple would be a map i would look for, or Namja Iyagi, but no one in the US plays that and i don't enjoy getting my butt handed to me by a gosu Korean player.

There could be multiple problems: 1. You might (probably not tho) be lagging even tho you have DSL 2. You may not be typing your game titles "fancy" (like instead of "2v2 comp stomp" you wold put '2v2 CoMp StOmP')."fancy" names tend to get more ppl. 3. I usually see more UMS games than like "2v2" or "melee" games. If you're talking about non-UMS games, then ignore this one.

Wow that's really cool to look at, but please don't ever do it again. Such a pain in the ass to read, I'm telling you bud people are not even going to bother to read it. You can't even highlight it to see it better.
Anyways, hey those weird @*&T@*( named games? I never knew that they were in Korean! I thought they were just some hacker or something typing in weird characters. Silly me..

Simply highlight stealthey's text to read it.
Yes those "weird" names are in Korean, most people should know that. Thats why stay away form them unless you wanna play with a korean.
Gosu means expert.

Just put two exclamations, not too much, not too little. If there are too many it makes it look like you're trying to hard to attract attention, while if there aren't enough, people just won't be interested enough. like.. 2v2 Temple!!
I like a name that is specific and to the point. Lets say it is a 3 people versus 3 people on lost temple. A good name would be "3v3 lost temple".
Umm... Not to say this all of a sudden, nor be rude... But LT is a 4 person map, isn't it? Or is there some new updated one that I haven't seen..
Oh, and I play RPG maps, Quest maps, and story plot maps. Also, a few defenses that I know aren't rigged... Those are rare to come by, now, though...
