Well folks, here's the deal.

My grandpa just died. :( (I found out a couple days ago but wasn't sure if I should mention it or not...)

And now I am going to Texas with my family for the funeral. I'm leaving today and won't be back until Sunday night.

I didn't know my grandpa too well so it hasn't really affected me. Yeah I feel sadness, but not like my dad and my aunt's and uncle's. They are taking it REALLY hard.

So my brother and I will probably and most likely be the strong ones of the whole family. Everyone else had a relationship with grandpa, including my other cousins that live here in southern Cali. But my brother and I...We didn't :(

I feel bad now. I wish that we had gotten to know our grandpa better. But because they lived so far and communication was a difficulty (They speak mostly spanish), it just never happened.

So yeah...And on top of that I've got a cold. Whatever--I'll make the most of it and just be strong for my family. They've always doubted me and never appreciated me, but now they'll appreciate me...I hope. :shiftyr: (Long story. Don't wanna go into it. In a nutshell: I am female. I won't carry on the family name )

Anywayz peeps--Well wishing and prayers would be appreciated. Thank you.

I'll keep that in mind when I pray... tomorrow night.
My great grandfather died a long while ago, we (me and my family) visited a few times, really nice guy. But when I heard he died, I didn't really show any sorrow or anything, I don't a lot of other family members did too, they knew it was time. I know my grand kids won't really appreciate me either, but I can live with that. ;\

n' Best wishes to your family and grandpa...

make your last name your new middle name. better yet, just take your full name and add your partner's last name onto it. many succesful, powerful, sexually charged women, i have heard, practice this wide-spread custom.

Sad to hear about your granddad, PC.

It's kinda strange, this week, one of my schoolmate's grandparents passed away too.

Queue violins.

I don't know what your grandfather's death has to do with your family "doubting" you and "never appreciating" you, but I'm willing to bet that if you moved out of your mom's house you'd get a lot more respect. Needless to say, I'm not surprised a thread about your grandfather's death turns onto you once again.

O_o I'm surprised you like it, considering that you're one of the "Proud to be ..." people.

But thanks. :)

Long story. Don't wanna go into it. In a nutshell: I am female. I won't carry on the family name
That can be remedied with a simple invention we call the hyphen. ;)

My condolences for the loss of your granddad.

Hey, I am sorry for your loss PC. I wish you and your family well.

(Long story. Don't wanna go into it. In a nutshell: I am female. I won't carry on the family name )Stay single for the rest of your life, and adopt a male child. Or get married, but give any kids you have your last name. Simple, isn't it?
