I dunno about you, but I feel sorry for the prostitute who serviced that young man....*shudders*

I completely understand his last dying wish. I may not agree with it, but I understand--After all we're human :P

So what are your thoughts?

kinda makes me think of the simpsons episode where dr hibert was going to hit homer with a "surgical 2x4".

He can be on the bottom, man.

And I second hammocksleeper. Good for the kid; I don't really have a problem with it. Why should he be denied one of the greatest experiences of being human? He's been denied so much else... I'm for it.

PC, in response to your question "What kind of woman," they said they found this woman in a magazine for the disabled, right? Maybe she felt bed for a lot of the disabled community and decided some good can come from her profession and he can make some otherwise deprived people very happy. She is a, say, noble prostitute.

Good job, dude! ^_^

I agree with Ender on everything he said. This guy doesn't lose the right to experience sex just because he's ill. And it was cool that a prostitute advertised in a magazine for disabled people. ^_^

Reminds me of the quote, "Sex is like air... it's not important unless you're not getting any."

It's unfortunate that the guy will never be able to experience "proper" making love - having an emotional attachment to the person makes it so much better. Still, at least he's experienced sex now and can chalk that off his list of things to do.

I don't feel sorry for the prostitute, because clearly she made a conscious decision to make herself available to disabled people. At the same time, I have to give her some respect for giving others that opportunity. True, being a prostitute means she's getting paid for it, but without people like her that guy would have died without knowing.

Yeah, it is a same, Schwit, but at least he gets this, you know?

Either that, or she has a cripple-fetish.

Either that, or she has a cripple-fetish.

That was only mildly disgusting and unnecessary.

It was his decision.. if he wants sex..he can have sex.

It's cool to see that both the organization and his parents gave him consent (then again he is an adult and didn't really need it). Usually you think they would be against this type of thing. Kudos to him.

Since he is Ill, it doesent matter how many STD's he will get so that was the perfect time for him to get a prozzy but being the way he is isnt good, but there are heaps of other people with similar illnesses to him, so we just have to thank our lucky stars we werent born/ or got those sort of illnesses.

Gross. Just...gross. I can only imagine the heaving mass of awkward discomfort that comprised that sexual union. I'd rather die a virgin than make it with a hooker on my first and only shot. Hell, I'd avoid it just in case all that Jesus shit came true, with that "the meek shall inherit the Earth" and all that. But you know, Darwin won't be denied.

I'd give the guy a high-five, but I'm sure his heart couldn't take it.

I'm with GA on this one. That's pretty damn sick. I'd much rather die a virgin even if I wasn't christian.

I'm not trying to make an argument or be the nitpicky asshole everyone hates, but I'm pretty sure a prostitute would be on some sort of protection (I know it's only 99%, but that's still a damn good shot) and who knows if that kid can even concieve anyway?

Link must be down. So, most importantly, was the prostitute hot or not?

It doesn't specify or have a picture, of course.

First of all, she's a prostitute, so chances are she is not hot. Second of all, she specifically caters to disabled people. You can add it up in your head.

I think Schwitzer's comment is best, that if you think sex is everything, you are thinking like a virgin. And even the kid realized it after it happened, since he mentioned it wasn't satisfying for him.

It's cool. I'm just going to ask if you really think his dick and/or hormones are aware that condoms exist.

I think Schwitzer's comment is best, that if you think sex is everything, you are thinking like a virgin. Bah! I'm calling bullshit on this one, guys. Let's face it, if you had, say, a month to live, and you hadn't got laid in a long time (or ever!), I don't care what your so called moral values are, or whatever... getting some ass whould be pretty fucking high on your to-do list before you kicked the bucket.

For men, sex is the "Holy Grail" whether you like it or not. *shrug*

Heh, this is one thing a friend of mine will never understand. He's the kind of kid that wants to get laid in his teen years, and T-bags the rest of us for not understanding him.

I think its just "wrong". I'm not saying his decision was wrong, after all he had given it thought for 2 years and asked for the advice of others, but its just wrong as in "Gross". If i was in that situation, i wouldn't ask for Sex not beause of my moral values. I mean, i would want to experience it like any other human being, its just that i would skip it to save my dignity.

I'm not sure how sex can be the "Holy Grail" to someone who doesn't like it (as you explicitly mentioned), but anyway.

Sex can be fun, exciting, emotional etc... so many words you can put to it, but I think saying it's "required" or "essential" is vastly missing the point.

Personally I'm surprised he was even able to have sex at all. Considering his disease Duchenne muscular dystrophy (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Duchenne_muscular_dystrophy) you'd think the whole act of sex would be a mayor health hazard.

On the other hand the prostitute was a specialist.

Thanks, for the link to the 'illness' he has because i know very little of it.

Really though the whole talk on sex being the holy grail for men can hardly be used with this, this kid only wanted to experience it because he is on his deathbed/never done it before.

Throughout our lives we're probably going to try a cigarette/try an alcoholic drink/ experience sex. Thats all "normal" people stuff, so its harder for him (the kid) to try these things, probably due to his 'illness'.

Thats Dayoh's fnal thought on the subject :P

Oh and enough with the virgin bashing for all we know we may not be or he is waiting for someone special.

Reading the article would answer that. Heck, even reading other posts in this thread would answer that. Therefore, I'm not going to answer that :P

Well, it's not like we're sacrificing them to appease our gods or anything. Not that I'm aware of, anyway.

It's my understanding that the earliest incarnation of Soccer/Basketball was based off of a Mayan ritual game called Pok-A-Tok. In this game these players used elbows, knees, feet, and heads to hit a ball through a sideways hoop mounted on a wall. The best player was sacrificed to the gods.

Man, those had to be some shitty games to watch. If you keep killing your best players...and then you have to wonder at the second half of every game. It's like everybody would be totally whooping ass in the first half then in the second half they'd totally be taking dives, afraid to be sacrificed.

Of course, this is all from something I read like 10 years ago, so if any of the above information is inaccurate, count this as a disclaimer.

Nah, it's true. I went to Chichenitza once (Mayan ruins in Mexico, really cool) and saw one of the stadiums. That game musta been HARD.

You sure that happened in ancient Mayan times? As far as I know, David Beckham (and his career) was sacrificed to the MLS only the other day.

But seriously folks....

As far as I know, his career was over 6 months ago when he failed to perform.
