Maybe. My friend told me when he was in Florida, he payed a huge amount of money to get into this school. While he was attending this school, a group of gamemakers came in and showed them a bunch of stuff, this stuff containing abour 3 or 4 StarCraft 2 images and some Diablo 3 stuff.
He told me the images for SC2 are amazing, very different from SC. Infact, he said they looked even better than Company of Heroes.
As for Diablo he told me that the game will take place during the war with Hevan and Hell.
Do I belive him, probably not, but it might be true.

How would a random group of gamemakers have this material?
I doubt it's genuine.

Well actually, there is a school in Orlando called Full Sail. It's a very expensive school that specializes in gaming and film so maybe they were telling the truth.

Or it could be a practical joke....
With confidence i say "believe nothing until you have proof of the alleged "
Neigh i say ! no one but no one but blizzard has info about SC2 or Diablo3!
Depends. Was this a class or just some local gathering? If it was actually a class then we have some proof that it is legit. However if this was some local gathering then it was probably just a scam.

Remember the golden rule:
Pics or it didn't happen. That are not Sc1 cinematic cut-outs retouched in photoshop to look like some cooler SC, in this case claiming it to be sc2. Someone did that recently. Cant recall the name though.

If they attend a school that specialized in gaming and film, like you said, then they have the ability to make something that looks like a new StarCraft game. Not necessarily the whole game, but anyone could make "pictures". Anyway, if a new StarCraft or Diablo game was leaked to THEM, don't you think others would have gotten a hold of it too?

Enishi has a point there.
Blizzard tends to be very secretive about their work. It's unlikely that they would leak such info to these people.

Fratt: I think he was stressing the fact that Enishi was correct, drawing other people's attention to it, not complimenting his post.

The word is "paid", and "gamemakers" don't randomly wander around with top secret images of games in development for the random amusement of asshat students. His story might have had a shred of an inkling of the possibility of being true if he had the good sense to stop at SC2. But no, he needed as much attention and awe as possible, so he needed to mention SC2 AND Diablo, as though Blizzard suddenly had a rummage sale of Top Secret Blizzard Projects Worth >10M.

Anyway, you need more evidence if you want people to believe you.

Vivendi Games is a global developer, publisher and distributor of interactive entertainment. The company is the world leader in the subscription-based massively multi-player online (MMO) games category and holds leading market positions in PC and console games.
Vivendi Games owns six global development studios including Blizzard Entertainment, Sierra Entertainment, Radical Entertainment, Massive Entertainment, Swordfish Studios and High Moon Studios.
Blizzard Entertainment, best known for its Warcraft, StarCraft and Diablo franchises, has taken the online games market by storm with World of Warcraft, the world's most popular MMO game. With more than six million customers (February, 2006), World of Warcraft is the only MMO game playing in all key markets including North America, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, South Korea, China and Taiwan.
Sierra Entertainment is one of the original developers and largest worldwide publishers of interactive entertainment software. Sierra is renowned for releasing critically acclaimed and award-winning titles that represent a wide variety of entertainment for both console and PC platforms. The studio's top-selling titles include 50 Cent: Bulletproof, created in collaboration with hip-hop music sensation 50 Cent, Crash Tag Team Racing, Robots and F.E.A.R.
The company disclosed a corporate loss of €23.3 billion in its 2002 annual report, the worst loss to date for a French company. Amid intense media scrutiny, its flamboyant Chairman and CEO, Jean-Marie Messier (who had overseen the most dramatic phase of the company's diversification), was subsequently replaced by Jean-René Fourtou.
Messier's rapid expansion of the firm, during which he overpaid hugely for media assets, saddling the company with debt far in excess of its market valuation and ultimately bringing it to the brink of collapse, has become a study in the triumph of personal ambition for greed and power over common sense.
blizzard also lost employies from a conflict with vivendi and had to close a project most think it was D3 since someone said it was blizz north kind of project
Vivendi in its current form came into existence on April 20, 2006 following the sale of an 80% stake in the Vivendi Universal Entertainment unit to form NBC Universal and the gradual recovery of the company from its disastrous over-expansion in the late 1990s and the early 2000s.
why do think all the games be thought of being made now

don't bother fatty :P
This is a worse source than having rumors on gamespot. Friends from another place is entirely pointless to us. What is our benefit from this? The only legal place we're ever going to get any sequels to Blizz games is from Blizzard Entertainment, they can try to make it themselves but that's not really any concerns to us. I won't believe that a large group of people from some expensive school would make two games with such quality as you claim for none profit reasons. And if it's only your friend and a few of his/her friends, expect them to be done in in 2058.
And as for Blizzard, this has been said thousands of times in about 500 threads who claim they know SC2 is coming out, it was all BS. There's no benefit to any company if they tell everyone they are making a game, they only publicize it when it's done and awaits publishing and mass production.
EDIT:
*fratty, don't shoot me, thx

blizzard was not affected with vivendi's loss, that was global loss, blizzard made great profit that year mostly beacose of warcraft 3! Though the money that go for Vivendi, small portion were used for covering expenses!
anyways Vivendi is recovered now and has good profits!
There are a lot of companies embeded with vivendi and profits from the universal music group last year were good. Read the press releases!

Well actually, there is a school in Orlando called Full Sail. It's a very expensive school that specializes in gaming and film so maybe they were telling the truth.
There are multiple schools like this, such as the one down the street from me, the Guildhall @ SMU. Now if a student there told me he saw stuff for SC2, would I believe him? Absolutely not. I know that some Blizz employees are from schools like the Guildhall and Full Sail, but that occurs after graduation.
And on that Bombshell...
It's likely that it's just a hoax. Nothing more.
