How: big game hunters human allies vs. computer?

Hello, i'm not new to starcraft and not a master of it either. I played it when it first came out and since then have made exactly 1 map.

my friends are all new to SC and i'm trying to set up BGH with me and my friends allied against the computer.

This is not on battlenet but on a LAN. We do not have access to battlenet on our ship.

i've tried selecting different game types when i create the game: FFA, Team FFA, Team Melee and Map Settings. But none of them give us each a starting base. We just share a base and the 4 SCV's.

I've tried Allied maps too. But they do not allow me to select the computer as being on team 2. With my friends and me on team 1, the only options i have for slots in team 2 is 'open' or 'closed'.

how can i fix this? i want humans allied and shared vision on BGH vs. multiple computer opponents.

just for your info, the team melee and team ffa you share units/base with other players, ffa you can't ally each other. melee's the way to go, as protogod said. all computers will only attack the human players, and you can ally each other. gg ;p

You could also download the latest patch (1.14) for starcraft and use the "Top vs Bottom" mode they implemented. This automaticly allies one team vs the other (in this case you & your friends vs the computer(s))

But play melee, not bgh ;D real starcraft players play ums and melee, not fastest, zero clutter or bgh :D

Once they try reg melee maps they will understand how much more fun it is... (unless u guys just mass w/e and gogo)
