I'm writing a novel, which is a prequel to the current events of my original work, The Children of the Wheelwright Series(no final title yet).

This is the Title:
Ander

I'm trying to make it different. Since these days, people write prequels on the good guys, their lives, and who they are now.
Mine focuses on the bad guy, his life, and what made him the way he is today.

The Inception:

The boy shivered again in the small room. There were no doors, only a single window and a narrow air vent that no large body could crawl through it. He was shivering, even though a large blanket covered his body. Only the four walls of the dark room surrounded him. He moved to the corner of the room, his hands holding the blanket together tightly, and in these spaces, he found warmth and security.

Tourmaline was the boy's last name, and that was almost all he knew about himself. He lies down in the small bed, wondering what he is. He sits in the corner of the room, thinking what is but is not. More lately he has been thinking who he is or why is he was he is. He hears voices outside. They seem to know more about him than he, who knows nothing of his being, knows nothing of himself.

A beast, he hears. An abomination. Was that who he was? His confusion puzzled him greatly. He wanted -no- needed answers to his thoughts. But a question comes to mind: If I find the answers... what will happen now?

The boy dreams. Nothing sweet, nothing radiant. He dreams nightmares, terrors of murders and massacres, the discontented and greedy hearts of the vagabonds who lust for innocent blood spilled into their voracious maws. He sees people suffer and die under a grip of a large and dark fist. The dark hand belonged to someone the boy already knew for a long time... his friend and the only one he ever knew and grew up revering him as, the Invader King.

The boy knew that [he] was there all the time. the young boy talked to him, seeking answers with questions of the Dark Lord's mysterious realm and of his vagrant armies. But still, the boy knew nothing of himself. The Invader King, in all his wickedness and lust for power, made a promise with the boy: to escape the room and search for his answers, is to lay down his life to the will of the Invader King, the "true Ruler".

The boy, who above all else wanted to see himself, shared the promise with the Invader King. The boy's name... was Ander.

What a horrible sounding story.....can't wait for the next bit. :D

Anyway, it sounds like an interesting plot, but I have a hard time imagining that a boy tormented by murder would ally himself with someone likely to cause murders. Jus' my 2 bits.

He knows nothing else until he sees the world as something else. He dreams pessimistic nightmares, seeing it all the time has made him accustomed to it.
It's a choice he has to make for himself: his friends, his influence, and his trust.

It becomes harder and harder for him to choose. His trust is placed in the Invader King, who understood his loneliness. Inside Ander, during his years in the room, nurtured a relationship between him and the darkness. But all he needs now are answers, to seek the truth for himself... and the Invader King will do anything to prevent him from seeing any of it.

Questions? You can message me if you want to know my influence in writing this book. :)

I'm glad you want to hear more of it. I'm doing what I can to make the book into a gripping page-turner. So I need all your criticism needed(at least one that can build me up). Thank you and keep replying. :D
