First Cinema4D render... WIP

I'm workin' on this thingy... c&c are welcome. I went kinda crazy on the pixel stuff so I think I'm gonna reduce it a bit. Beware, it's my very first try for a 3d render, of course the light stuff is added in PS.

Very nice, except for all that dust... get rid of it!! It looks like dust all over a shiny render... kinda ruins the whole effect.

I fucking need to find a way to get C4D .. meh! None of the usual methods are working for me -_-

No no, keep the white flurrys! Just tone down on it in a few areas, like the bottom middle. Also, it looks very nice. The convserion between colors though (top middleish) looks very unappealing.

The pick reminds me of a crystal shattering, just in larger fragments, circled by icy rings.

It's loverly, though you did, as said, go a lil' overboard with the pixie dust. But yea, just tone it down or erase some of it where there are large patches of it. And you did this in Cinema 4D? Man, I need that, maybe I'll enlist my cousin's help :p.

Besides the fact that I've seen that same goddamn "electric" brushwork a billion times — and the fact that overall it looks unorganized and messy — it looks alright for a first render.

I would get rid of all that pixie dust stuff if I were you. It just doesn't seem to flow with the edges and feel of the render itself.

I would keep up with all of the pixelation, keeping things crisp and clear.

Thanks, but what do I do to connect? What server should I connect to?

Doesn't matter, there should be an option somewhere to set the program to auto connect when you start it or lose a connection. Any server is as good as another, it's how you connect to the database and where any files you share are listed.

I rather like the "flurry" effect and the small stream, it fits the temperature/mood of the whole thing.
