View Full Version : Classes of Vehicles
I think it might be handy to have a list of what each class of vehicle/walker carries so that people can refer to it.
eg:
Predators
Destructor - Turret mounted Autocannon with sponson mounted heavy bolters
Baal - Turret mounted twin-linked Assualt Cannons and (correct me if I'm wrong) sponson mounted heavy bolters.
Annihilator - Turret mounted twin-linked Lascannon with sponson mounted lascannons
Dreadnaughts
Hellfire (?)
Furiousa (?)
Carnifexes
Devilfex - Twin linked devourers
etc. Ultimately, this could be shunted in with the list of abbreviations but I feel it would be useful to compile a list.

Hellfires replace their powerfist for another long ranged weapon. (IE: aussult cannon, missile rack combo)
Furioso Dreadnoughts are a Blood Angels variant, where the long ranged weapon is exchanged for a second power fist.
Thank you. I'm sure there are more classes than that, but that's a handy additoon for now.

Carnifex isn't a vehicle, its a monstrous creature and has no front, side or rear armor value, does not move 12" and doesn't roll on the AP chart when hit.
The Furioso Dreadnaught also has a built in storm bolter and flamer which can be upgraded to a meltagun and heavy flamer.
None of the Predator tanks start with their sponson weapons, they must be upgraded to the weapons provided on the statistics sheet.

There's something about the hellfire which lurker may have put a bit wrongly, because it suggests you could have an assault cannon/assault cannon combo on the hellfire dreadnought, but, you MUST replace the power fist with a missile launcher.

Yah, I know, I was scrambling for stuff to but down. I was going to cahnge the title to include monstrous creatures, but I can't.

i was just wondering if anyone knew the true front armor value of the imperial guard hellhound, since it says in the book, 12, but in the back it says 13
this could mean winning or losing the tournament coming up!

Ah yes, forgive me, I believe only Dark Angel Mortis Dreadnoughts are capable of wielding something remotely similar to the combination that you suggest. Indeed, the common Hellfire generally must have the powerfist replaced with the missile rack. Otherwise it would be considered a Mortis.
Regarding tanks; Ktan, you might be a little off. Their class is determined by the turret mounted weapon. The sponsons are irrevalent.
And Baal predators are exclusive to the mighty Blood Angels.

doesn't a dreadnought need two of the same weapon to be a mortis?
so like, two assault cannons would be mortis, but assault cannon and las cannons wouldnt?

The book is right, you can cross out the 13 in the back and write in 12 so you don't get confused, I think the stats for a priest is wrong in the back too.
