I need someone whose good w/triggers to check a map for me. There's a mistake in it somewhere but i can't find it. It's really wierd because its a copy/pasted trigger that works for player 1 but the capied trigger wont work for player2. Ideas anyone?

IceMan' the 1st idea that comes to mind is "Where's the map?".
The 2nd and from my impression of it is that some part of the trigger is player specific and while you don't adapt it to P2 (or "current player" if possible) that trigger won't work. ;)

i forgot to post the map. But I did edit the pl1 specific parts. I don't have the map at hand now but ill post it as soon as i can.

Here 'tis. The error is somewhere in the Pl2 oupost capturing triggers.

um it would be helpful if you gave the name of it otherwise we wont know what to change/fix.

Any of the ones that say:
"player 2
Step 2: Gain half control..."

Compare to the pl1 triggers which are almost identical, and work.

well, im not sure if it spose to be like that but one of switches say player2 bot and the other player1 bot?

it would help if you told us which trigger... not just the general group.. which includes most of the triggers.

To Grover: Yes, that part is supposed to be that way.

To SilverCrusader: Take the trigger:
"Player 2:
Step 2: Gain half control. Forest" (in the pl2 triggers),
and the one right after it.

Compare it with the corresponding Pl1 trig. That one works.

IceMan', after checking your map have noticed that both players need to step 2 times in each beacon (not considering the most units business) for it to be activated. I just have a few questions related to it, though.

1st - And if I keep enough time (read, a couple of seconds) at the beacon wouldn't it be fully activated anyway, so why the half and full deals? :confused:
2nd - Just out of sheer curiosity, why did you name the creating units triggers differently for both players? ;)

Other than that and from what I've looked at the triggers mentioned they both should work. It could've just been some weird effect, so I suggest you to rebuild the non-working ones and see how it goes.

Basan, I was thinking of deleting and rebuilding but I was hoping I wouldn't have to do all the workover. I'll try it though.

To 1st question: I think I see what you're saying, but what alternative woud you suggest?
To 2nd: Note that the name of the Pl1 trigs are longer. I did those first. There's a thing called laziness that led me to shorten the Pl2 ones.

BTW: can you think of a more efficient way to do the outpost capturing as opposed to the most units thing.
