Hi everyone - I'm reliving the original starcraft campaign at the moment, and one of my terran maps is corrupted!
From what I can work out, the file will be called:
(7)The Hammer Falls.scm (or (6)T...)
If anyone could please mail this to psiclops@redeyemail.com I would be VERY THANKFUL!! Please!
Thx
BTW - very nice looking board you have here!

Wait. Let me see if I can upload it for you.
Sorry. I can't find it. All I have are some enslavers files under campaign.

Oh well... thanks for looking. I have those enslaver maps. The bad file is in my 'maps' directory if anyone else ever finds it!
The Hammer Falls is the last mission (number 10) of the Terran campaign.
After some trouble I managed to extract the file from one of my archives on my StarCraft disc. It appears the missions are saved as .chk files. I hope you can play it as a campaign mission. If it's the wrong mission, let me know. I will try to find another one.
I hope it works. I had to rename the file to an .scm extension because else I couldn't upload the file. You might want to rename it again to scenario.chk. Without the "12" yes.

Thanks to you both!
I can edit the scenario but it still reads as corrupt by the main prog :(
No worries though - I'm enjoying my role as esteemed Cerebrate instead.
On the bright side - It'll mean I can play a few maps from here a little sooner :)
Thanks for taking the time! Much appreciated as I said. I'll try and edit the map a little to get it to work (??)
Caio!

Without the "12" yes.Where did you found that .chk file? When I open the Install.EXE file on my disc, most of the files are unknown. Most of the files that aren't unknown are MacFiles (the directories they're located in are named like that). Do I maybe need a special program that lets my computer recognize the unknown files? The Setup.EXE file cannot be opened, because it doesn't contain an .MPQ file.
Thanks for any help.
Psiclops: you're welcome :)
Xtermin8or1: I can see the file as soon as I open Install.exe with MPQview, all the scenario.chk files are located in a directory called something like campaign\terran\terran12\staredit\scenario.chk. Are you using a Mac? It might be that Mac's use a different method.

I now tried to download MPQView, but when I tried to open an archive (.EXE, MPQ, .SCM, .SCX,...) I couldn't see any files! I read in a manual that was with the program MPQView that my storm.dll version should be v1.0 or v1.01. I have version 1.10. I tried to find v1.0 or v1.01 of storm.dll, so that I could put it together with the program MPQView in a different directory than my StarCraft directory, but I couldn't find it. Thanks to anyone who tries to solve my problem.

Ok, I now know how to use MPQView (you just have to load the file sc_data.txt with the button open data file and an archive with the button open archive). It isn't actually that difficult to use-LOL. I, though, haven't found those missions yet...
