View Full Version : Upgrades 1.8 (redone units!)

Yep, 1.8 of the on going mod, but beyond the best yet. I have teamed up with someone, and he has turned this mod the right way. Im sure you all know what this is, so ill just explain the changes in 1.8.

- Zergling got completly redone. From graphics, to sound, to fuctionality, to unit portrait, etc. now called the humanoid bezerker.
- Arbiter got a huge redo, with new graphics, attack, and stats.
- Scout got redone
- Ghost got redone.
- Lots of units have new graphics and weapons effects & new voicings and portraits on many.
- Lots more balencing
- Way cool new sounds. And lots of them!
- Lots more balencing (again)...
- More stat Changes... more balencing... etc. FINALLY DONE WITH 1.8!

so, this is really worth the download, I, and most others would recomend this to anybody.

Nice revision... the other version was okish, but this is something I really enjoyed testing (and I am quite a nasty critic when it comes to mods :P)

Good job! Who did the arbiter and vulture ?

Thanks, and, well, the arbiter was done my MX (masterXenocde) and ummm..... i dont think i changed the vulture in 1.8, so i guess me. Oh did you try the spawn zerglings? Oh wait, nvm thats in 1.9beta 6

Yeah, I know you haven't changed the vult, but the new silver one looks pretty sweet, and if you did it, I was wondering if you modeled it or just modified the 2D iso image frame by frame.

Actually, its one of the few open source graphics in the game. The graphics i didnt do are: the armory, vulture, arbiter, pylon, spire, stargate, and nydus canal. and ghost. The rest of the graphics i did. I really dont know how to 3d render, but i do know how to make simple building graphics with the gimp.
