Iv never used an amazon before so iv started one, im going to focus in javalins, iv been focusing stat points in dex, a little in str, vit, and not many in energy.

I havent used any skill points yet, im lvl 11 atm, the thing i need to know is what skills should i invest in for a amazon focusing in javalins

I believe it's:

20 critical strike(or whatever number you fancy, since 20 pts isn't needed)
20 penetrate
20 charged strike
20 lightning strike
and rest into power strike

or get a few points into dodge, evade, and avoid. Check out www.diabloii.net (http://www.diabloii.net) for strategy guides on javazon builds.

I thought critical strike and penetrate is mainly for bowazons.

hmm I'm not sure about this but I think penetrate works with the extra lightning from that 1 spell (charged strike, lightning strike, or power strike). As I have never built a javazon I'm unsure about this and suggest you look into this further on another site with proper javazon builds (diabloii.net is the primary site I can think of right now)

As for critical strike, I believe it works with the spells on the initial target.

I looked up critical strike. It only doubles physical damage.

Javelin based zons will focus mostly on Lightning Fury (and that charged bolt attack, it can do seriously high damage), and its synergies... though you don't want them all. Its a good idea to get at least 5-10 into critical strike and pierce (penetrate gives more ar). If you have a razortail, then you only need level 6 pierce... or so to reach 100% piercing.

Javelin based zons basically rely on Thundergods (eventually upgraded) and a good shield -- therefore, you get rough 140 or so str (enough to wear a Stormshield -- or even less, use a great blocker like Whistans Guard and stay away from elemental damage), so basically: lots of points into dex for high blocking, and extra throw damage with javelins, no extra energy and you are set.

Javelin-based zons sometimes go for a base dex amount of about 200 or so, and then dump the rest into vitality -- so you can sock up more damage then your basic bow-based zon.

As a javelin amazon, you can also carry (on switch) a bow weapon such as Buriza, which can be useful for various situations.

All alternative would be making a plaguezon. You'll do tons of poison damage, but it's rather slow.

Lightning fury zons own up until you get to hell mode with all the Light immunes. Then it gets expensive to do damage in hell. Usually my first char of the season is a Jav LF zon in which I load it up and like 5 to all syns then the usual dodge avoid etc. Like Kupa said though TGods is a must and Titan's revenge is probably the best weapon to get especially if you can get an eth one. They can clear a crowd quite well once they get in the 3k+ dmg area.
