Alright, so at University I'm in this club called BUCS (http://www.laurierbucs.net/). One project we're working on is to have a Laurier (my University) eBay type service and then maybe expand to Waterloo (hence the name). I'm in charge of the design of the whole project :o.
Anyway, I've been working on the website lately, and I've come up with about 5 different designs, 4 of which (the previous ones) I never finished because I didn't feel they looked right. This one though I managed to work on to completion and now I'm just wondering what you guys think before I show the Project Manager.
Here's the design thusfar:

You can also view it in context (with a white background) here (http://blackhawk.pyrom.net/LuBay/index.html).
Any comments, criticism, whatever is welcomed with open arms <3.

It looks gay.
;p
Nah, I like it (Better than I could do :( ) Simple, straight to the point, and user-friendly. Looks sexy ;D
(PS, are there any amazingly good tutorials for how to design webpages in Photoshop? I could never find any, but maybe I'm looking in the wrong spots.)

Well i'm studiying Multimedia so my teacher would probably tell you that Blue set on a white background is Too pail, even though ur design is simple it has an appealing side, the Lubay logo should be bigger...

It's pretty ^_^, I like blue. Make the left navigation text smaller, and use the same font for the items.

I personally think it needs a bit more color... white and shades of light blue is a bit dull. Perhaps make the shades of blue more different from each other. For example light blue and dark blue, or light blue and blue-green. Also I would make the lubay logo something other than white to stand out more. The size and position of everything looks perfect.

For the most part it looks cool. But I think the top header is kind of bland and empty.

Just going to quickly leave a note because I'm going to bed soon (just got back from a Killswitch Engage concert, fucking amazing) and I've got an exam tomorrow in the morning :o. I'll edit this post tomorrow after my exam with a response to all your replies (thanks for so many xD).
Yeah... you need some more contrast, I suppose. It seems very boring the way it is, plus the basic text shouldn't be so... I dunno. Is that a standard font? Should try using Helvetica/Arial or whatever, though thats me being all css-nit-picky.
Interesting concept, but it's hard to focus on =/
