Star Wars Republic Commando RP
Clone Wars
Day 335
Welcome, young one. Come, join your brothers in lesson. You are destined for great things, my child. You are greater amongst your bretheren. You are part of an elite unit, specially genofixed for espionage and combat in confined quarters. You will be the knives in the backs of the enemies of the Republic. Serve and protect the Republic, as were born to do. You are a commando. You are Gamma Squad.
Intelligence has detected an unidentified and potentially malignant impact on the surface of Csilla. You are to investigate the site and destroy any threat. Briefing will begin shortly. Stand by for further instructions.
About this universe
I assume all of you are familiar with the Star Wars Clone Wars Era universe, so I will spare you all but the essentials. As stated above, you are no ordinary clone trooper, but a Republic commando. You have elite armor and and weapons, and a unique personality. You will be operating alongside others like yourself behind enemy lines, sabotaging enemy units, rescuing comrades, and reconnaissance missions.
ARMOR:
Clone Commandos, instead of wearing regular-grade clone trooper armor, wear advanced Katarn-class commando armor, which generate their own shielding, giving the commando the ability to withstand a barrage of shots and still be able to fire back before taking serious damage. The armor consists of a black undersuit with white armor plating. The undersuit provides a level of artificial thermal insulation, while the armor plating provides the majority of the kinetic defense. The armour can also provide a limited degree of protection to hard vacuum (with approximately 20 minutes of oxygen in the Katarn version 3), and is somewhat fireproof. Bacta (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bacta) can also be easily applied to the commando via handheld dispensers.
http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i281/Staberinde/Clone_commando.jpg
Downed or mortally wounded Commandos that are incapacitated can be revived by another commando using a small, handheld bacta dispenser. The process takes about seven seconds, and the commando is revived at half their health.
Depleted yet functional shields can be rapidly and fully regenerated at bacta stations throughout the worlds.
Republic weapons:
DC-17m: Fully automatic (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fully_automatic) rifle (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rifle). The DC-17m is a light repeating blaster rifle capable of rapidly firing blaster bolts. Each power pack clip provides enough energy for 60 shots, and one may carry five clips. The blaster has two attachments expanding its use. http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i281/Staberinde/12republic_commando_141.jpg
DC-17m Sniper Rifle Attachment: This attachment turns the DC-17m into an ion pulse sniper rifle (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sniper_rifle). Its rate of fire is very much reduced, but it has higher power, accuracy, and an electromag scope (capable of scoping to 10x and 20x magnification). It uses a special high-discharge 5-round power pack; the player may hold 4 clips (for 20 rounds total).
DC-17m Anti-Armor Attachment: An artillery attachment for the DC-17m; it's effective against Super Battle Droids (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Super_Battle_Droids) and armored vehicles. The player can hold a maximum of four charges, which must be loaded individually after each shot.
DC-15s Side Arm Blaster: A low-power pistol (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pistol). It has a self charging dynamic energy cell that recharges at a slow but steady rate. It can only be fired five or six times consecutively before the user must pause to let the pistol replenish its ammunition.
Vibroblade: The knuckle plate that covers a Clone Commando's left hand contains a retractable vibroblade. Combined with a commando's training and prowess, this allows the execution of a devastating close-quarters attack capable of instantly disabling organic enemies and light droids. Trandoshan weapons:
Accelerated Charged Particle Repeater Gun: A standard Trandoshan mercenary equivalent of a real-life submachine gun (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Submachine_gun). Similar to the DC-17m, although it fires charged particle bursts as opposed to blaster bolts. This makes it ineffective against armored enemies such as droids but more effective against organics. It retains the ability to quickly overload shielding, however. In multiplayer (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Multiplayer), the ACP is the standard Trandoshan gun, although for the purposes of multiplayer it's exactly the same as the 17m.
LS-150 Heavy ACP Repeater Gun: A huge, belt (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Belt)-fed, chaingun (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chaingun)-like weapon, the Heavy ACP Repeater Gun is used by heavily-armored Trandoshan elite mercenaries. It has an extremely high rate of fire and a 200 round energy magazine, capable of taking out a Clone Commando in a heartbeat when used by the Trando mercs. Likewise, it is capable of mowing down Trandoshans en masse when Delta 38 appropriates one of these for himself. It is also tipped with a wicked bayonet. Its weight and bulk slow the user down considerably.
ACP Array Gun: A shotgun (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shotgun)-like weapon, mainly used by Trandoshan slavers. Very effective against organic beings but somewhat ineffective against droids. It is most effective at close range, but its power drops off rapidly over distance. Eight round integral ammunition magazine.
LJ-50 Concussion Rifle: The LJ-50 Concussion Rifle is a heavy field weapon used in medium to long distance engagements. It utilizes a concussive energy charge that implodes on impact and creates a sizeable area of destruction in a 500 unit radius. Effective against organics and light droids, but not against heavy droid units. Each concussion core provides five shots before it must be changed. Interestingly, its energized barrel can be slammed into a droid in melee to temporarily electrocute its systems.http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i281/Staberinde/12republic_commando_161.jpg
Wookiee weapons:
Wookie Bowcaster: An artfully crafted Wookie weapon that fires powerful green energy quarrels. Individual shots are not normally very powerful, but the weapon can be "charged up" by holding down the fire button. Fully charged shots are referred to as "impaler bolts"; using three ammo units, it will impale organic enemies and pin them to a wall. Shots that miss targets bounce off walls, leaving a trail of green behind the shot. It is equipped with a telescopic sight.
Wookiee Homing Launcher: A massive rocket launcher (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shoulder-launched_missile_weapon) that can load and fire up to five rockets simultaneously, capable of locking on and homing into targets. Its weight and bulk slow you down when you wield it.http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i281/Staberinde/12republic_commando_19.jpg
Geonosian weapons:
Geonosian Elite Beam Weapon: A Geonosian (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Geonosian) weapon that fires a sustained orange energy beam. When used by the Geonosian Elite Warrior, it draws off virtually unlimited stores of energetic fluid within the insectoid alien's body, but when used by a Clone Commando, its ammo is limited. It requires a few seconds to charge before firing. One interesting note is that while using this weapon, small needles on the weapon can be seen trying to scratch at the player's armor, this is probably where the weapon gets its fuel from its Geonosian wielders.http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i281/Staberinde/12republic_commando_151.jpg
Grenades:
Thermal Detonator: The standard Star Wars (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Wars) grenade, it releases a damaging barrage of heat and a concussive blast upon detonation; comparable in use to a modern frag grenade (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hand_grenade#Fragmentation_grenades).
Electrostatic Charge Detonator: A grenade that, when detonated, releases a powerful pulse of electricity. Most effective against mechanical enemies such as droids (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Droid), as it disrupts their neural circuitry, stunning them for a short while.
Diversionary Flash Detonator: Similar to the flashbang grenade (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hand_grenade#Stun_grenades). When detonated, it releases a bright light and noise, stunning nearby enemies.. and also the commando, if he looks at it. It has very little effect on mechanical enemies.
Sonic detonator: A Geonosian-manufactured grenade that releases a damaging sonic blast. Similar to the Thermal Detonator. The grenade is proximity triggered; if it hits a target it explodes on impact; if it hits a floor it may be proximity-triggered, or detonates automatically after ten seconds. If the grenade hits a wall, it will stick to the surface. Demolition equipment: The player is not required to keep track of the squad's inventory of these explosives. It is assumed that Gamma Squad possesses an adequate number of these items.
Demolition charges: These are command-detonated, variable yield, high explosive shaped-charges used for military demolitions purposes. Used to destroy targets that are either too large or too heavily armored to be effectively damaged with the commandos' handheld ranged weapons. These high-tech explosives are programmable with the built-in keypad to customize blast profile tamping based on the target type, thus maximizing the destructive efficiency upon detonation. Once placed, a commando takes a few moments to program and arm the charge. Upon arming, the squad leader can detonate them at will using a handheld remote detonator.
Breaching charges: Used do blow open sealed doors, a breaching charge is a small explosive device with a directional blast designed to destroy locking mechanisms. It explodes a few seconds after it is placed, allowing the commandos to storm the room.
Proximity detonators: The small charge is not typically powerful enough to cause damage to enemies, but it can be placed on explosive barrels and set to proximity mode. When an enemy approaches, it will detonate, causing the barrel to explode as well. Melee attacks:
When an enemy is in close proximity to a player, an effective melee attack may be carried out. The attack's power directly depends on the player's current weapon. The Commando's Vibroblade is applied when the DC-17m, its attachments, or a Trandoshan ACP Repeater are being used. Any other weapon will produce an attack more or less powerful, depending on the weapon itself. The DC-15s Side Arm Blaster produces the lowest amount of melee damage, while the LJ-50 Concussion Rifle has a side-effect -- in addition to melee damage, it electrocutes its target in a similar matter to the Electrostatic Charge Detonator, minus splash damage.
Both squad members and most enemy units can use melee attacks when given opportunities. It should also be noted, that the player's teammates' melee attacks have been somewhat stylised to seem more impressive, incorporating things such as head-locks, among other offensive moves.
Geonosian Enemies
Geonosian: These insectoid creatures can leap great heights and cling to surfaces. They wield a powerful energy-spear. Two direct hits can be fatal.
Geonosian Elite: These bugs will always attack from the air, and wield a Beam Weapon. A direct hit from this powerful blast is crippling, if not fatal. To add to the nuisance, they can take heavy damage before falling to the ground.
CIS Enemies
Battle Droid: Skinny and vulnerable, these wimps are a breeze in very small numbers, but like ants, more than five is something you don't want to mess with alone.
Battle Droid Dispenser: These large, cubic units continually produce a new battle droid about every second it is active. These must be destroyed with a demolition charge.
Super Battle Droid: Standing at nearly twice the height of a battle droid, these slow, lumbering behemoths can take enormous amounts of punishment before yielding. Their wrist blasters are unforgiving, and their wrist rockets are deadly. However, two well placed ECDs or a single shot from the Anti-Armor attachment will take this monster out in no time. Commonly referred to as a 'Super'.
Super Battle Droid Dispenser: Similar to the battle droid dispenser, except that it produces a new super battle droid about every ten seconds.
Droideka: Also slow, but not near as massive as the Super Battle Droid, their shields can also take an enormous amount of damage before fading. Take them out while they are in ball mode for the greatest efficiency. Also known as a 'Destroyer Droid'.
Dwarf Spider Droid: Smaller than their cousins on the battlefield, these machines carry a huge artillery laser turret and are armed with smaller, sweeping lasers, as well as an arsenal of self-deploying grenades. The primary turret even holds a thermal scanning device to detect enemies behind corners. Their two frontmost legs can deploy small armor plates just big enough to guard a tiny red light at the front of the turret below the main laser. This is their only weak point--"weak" being subject to comparison. Despite this flaw, they still require massive ordinance to destroy.
Trandoshan Enemies
Trandoshan Slaver: These four-foot, barbaric terrors will pursue a commando on sight, and when their weapon, usually an ACP Array Gun or, in rarer cases, an LJ-50 Concussion Rifle, proves insufficient, they will drop it and sprint to attack with their razor-sharp claws. Two direct hits with these claws can be fatal. Called a 'Slaver'.
Trandoshan Mercenary: These taller aliens wield an Accelerated Charged Particle Repeater Gun and can put up quite a fight. They consistantly wear fuel canisters on their backs, one well placed shot to which can send the thing soaring into the atmosphere. Commonly known as a 'Merc'.
Trandoshan Elite Mercenary: Mercs on steroids, these ruthless aliens wield an LS-150 Heavy ACP Repeater Gun. These mini-boss characters will easily and quickly kill a clone commando in the open. These brutes take enormous effort to take down.
Other Enemies
Scavenger Droid: Well hidden and excellent at ambushing, these small, floating devices were originally bult to terminate vermin aboard ships and cruisers. Easy to destroy, and easy to die by. Also called a 'Scav'.
ALLIES
Clone Trooper: Just your everyday, run-of-the-mill clone.
Wookie: These friendly yet so gut-wrenchingly destructive gargantuans can rip through any crowd of battle droids with ease, tearing off limbs, crushing droids beneath their feet. Often, they will wield a Bowcaster, and rarely, a Rocket Launcher.CHARACTER SHEET (Please pm me for approval)

iHawk
12-02-2006, 10:08 PM
Designation: RC-1665
Nickname: "Calamity"
Speciality: Enemy weaponry and stealth-ops.
Description: Black paint applied across the chest and left pauldron to resemble gashes, both in sets of three. He also has black paint on both gauntlets and boots which look almost like the paint was actually creeping up the armour itself. Despite his specialty for enemy weapons his favourite mode of elimination is the vibro-blade in his armour. His skills are used mainly for recon work in his squad. Whether it's picking targets for Shatter or relaying enemy armour position's to Killswitch he's put to good use.
Psychological Note: RC-1665, or "Calamity" as he's begun calling himself has recently taken far more joy in killing then a usual Commando. While this may be due to the common anomalies caused by prolonged pod-based training it would be best to study him in the field. He poses no danger to fellow Commandos as of yet, but if his psyche deteriorates he will be removed from duty.

Designation: RC-3297

Designation: RC-0352
Nickname: Killswitch
Speciality: Anti-armour
Description: Killswitch is the team's anti-armour specialist. Armed with an anti-armour DC-17m as well as his own assortment of various different types of demolition charges. Killswitch's role as an Anti-armourman has forced him to need to be larger than your average Clone Trooper. This has forced him to become the slowest moving team member, but he doesn't let that put him at a disadvantage. Though the team has been in every battle engagement together, Killswitch has probably taken the most damage all together, often times taking the brunt of an attack straight to the chest. Unlike his fellow comrade's Shatter and Calamity, he prefers to take the fight straight to the enemy. He tends to act as the team's joker, trying to lighten the mood in often times perilous situations. His suit is custom made to be larger than the average troopers to fit his own physique. His armour has red paint to help distinguish him during a battle. (Think Kratos from God of War.)

As far as plot goes, you all are welcome to get creative. What you create may influence my overall plot path. Nothing too drastic, though, like destroying a planet or something. A good way to suggest a plot change would be something very subtle, yet difficult to explain without other forces at work.

Well, I can and will say this. As of right now, you're going to have a good squad. I put faith in myself, iHawk, and Kongorous to work together. It should turn out to be pretty good. I know that Tanis is coming up with a squad leader type char right now. In either case, the missions will be awesome. I plan on making my char sort of a comic relief type at moments. Should be fun!
Just a heads up, I've edited more info (about our squad) into my bio.
Neu(t)ralDamage: I was wondering, if we get enough people for multiple squads could kong, A7F and I be one of those squads? If we only have enough for one squad (3-5 RPers) then we'll just say our whole squad was moved into a new squad. Also correct me if I'm wrong, but are you playing more of an "Advisor" role? Or are you getting your hands dirty as well?

That sounds like a good idea, having multiple squads. And yes, my primary character will be the "Advisor". However, I will no doubt partake in some grunt work myself, in the form of npcs like friendly clone troopers and wookies. I want this RP to have the feel of being alone in hostile territory, where the only people you can truly count on are your podmates.
Oh, and by the way, I was not aware that you guys had been making a squad together in particular. If you all want Tanis to be squad leader, so be it. Is Tanis familiar with the game?
I am somewhat familiar with the game...I downloaded the demo and played it a few times, plus I have played the full game at a friends house.

You find yourself in a dark LAAT, surrounded by your squad mates. The bay doors are closed, and you can sense the jerking of wind resistance against the transport’s velocity.
Suddenly, the bay doors open, and the frigid air of the ice-planet’s atmosphere rushes in. You look out and can see nothing but the cool, blue sky and snow-white clouds shooting by. You exchange stoic expressions with the Gamma next to you, and the holotransmitter sitting on the floor in the center of the room flickers to life.
Advisor:// “Welcome, gents. As if you didn’t know, this is Csilla, a snow-world on the fringe of unknown space. Not a whole lot goes down around here, but there’s something funny going on. Seeing how Delta Squad is tied up on Kashyyk, and Omega Squad is in R&R at the moment, you were chosen for the job of investigating the scene.
“Now, an abnormal impact was detected in an area known as the Trekomviunt Sea. Of course, there’s no water here, so it’s just a vast plain of nothing. You’re out here by yourselves. The insertion point will be just over the edge of the crater. You lot are to scale the crater wall, and find out what’s in there. If you get stuck, the-eye-in-the-sky, played by yours truly, can help you out.
“Ya’ll get four of each grenade to start out with, and I’ve taken the liberty of getting my hands on some Anti-Armor and Sniper Rifle attachments for your DC-17m’s. Of course, you all get a DC-15s just in case. I’ll be sending our wingman out for more supplies as the day goes by, so you’ll have extras when you need them. Uhp--...hold on a sec...
“Right, we’ve got the target in sight. Shit, this ain’t no regular meteorite, that’s for sure. ‘Looks to me like a Separatist cruiser got a bit lost! Well, time to set you boys down...”
The LAAT jolts to a halt, hovering fifty feet from the snow below. You ready your line, and repel down to ground level.
“I should warn you, there’s something different about this cruiser. It’s got a couple weird growths around it. ‘Just something to be aware of. Good luck men!” //:End Transmission.
Gamma Four One hit the frosted and icy rock of the Csillan ground, sweeping left and right with his DC-17 Blaster, scanning for targets. None presented themselves immediately, so he kneeled for a second and clicked on the large transmitter on his back. As Squad Leader, he had advanced communication equipment for communicating with the Advisor and any ships in orbit should he need too. He also carried a C-3 unit. After he heard the cgrowl of the device turning on, he looked around and saw his squadmates.
"Gamma Squad, let us get moving. Shatter, Flame, cover us while we rappel into the crater. Something moves, shoot it. Soon as we hit the bottom of the crater, follow suite. Killswitch, Calamity, get your asses moving." Ordered Four One as he attached his rappeling line to a thick, stout rock formation.

Gamma Five-Two, code name Killswitch dropped from the door of the LAAT, landing with a heavy thud when he reached the bottom. Looking around quickly, he sighed heavily inside his helmet as he analyzed the frozen wasteland. How did he always managed to get stuck on these shit-hole planets. It wasn't long until he heard Gamma Four-One's orders and headed off towards teh Nav Point placed on his HUD. As he approached the lip of the crater, he made a sly comment to no one in particular yet still over the squad comm.
"Why is it that Omega get's R&R? And how do we get stuck on this ice rock?"
Bane was quick to answer over the comm link.
"Don't question orders Trooper. We do what must be done in the name of the Republic. so shut your trap and keep moving. Make sure you secure a route of entry once you get to the bottom."
Killswitch continued to speak even though he was told to shut himself up.
"Well, I'm just saying sir. We should be relaxing somewhere, not freezing our butts off. Seriously, if I wanted some Ice Treats, I'd have just gone to the cantina myself."
Bane sighed heavily into the mic before speaking once again to the burly commando.
"Killswitch, just shut up and down there already. If we make it out of here in one piece, I'm sure you could bring it up with the Chancellor later."
"Roger that sir, I'm starting my descent now."
Having reached the lip of the crater, he to a quick peek over the edge to make sure there was nothing beneath him before quickly attaching his rappel line. Giving a quick thumbs up to his squad leader, Killswitch jumped over the edge and began his quick descent down the slope with ease. Despite his heavy load, Five-Two made sure to move slowly as to not cause any injury to himself, stopping just short as Shatter came over the radio, his cold tone barely audible over the headset.
"Killswitch, this is Shatter. Hold your position. Possible target confirmation." After what seemed an eternity, Shatter came back over the comm. "Nevermind Five-Two, it was just an animal. You're in the clear."
Killswitch nodded to himself, dropping the remaining 6 feet to the ground, the weight of his gear and his body causing a heavy thud. Bringing his rocket launcher up to his shoulder and securing the area, even though Shatter was playing his Guardian Angel. He quickly relayed his situation back to Bane who was still above him.
"Well, just what I thought sir. Everything's quiet here. Guess this is just going to be another boring patrol. You know...I think that our Advisor must be getting his information from a Gammoreon...that or they just pulled the plug on his pod while he was still getting his brain structured, cause there ain't a damn thing down here."
"Killswitch...shut up. Is it secure or not?"
"Yes sir, it's more secure than a Jedi's pus-"
"Roger Five-Two, we're on our way down," Bane interrupted, not bothering to hear Killswitch's crude remark.

Shatter rappelled down from the gunship, holding the sniper attachments for his DC-17m as he went down. He landed with a crunch on the permafrost, and unslung his rifle, placing the attachments on and making the correct adjustments to the scope so it would cooperate with his helmet's sights. His personal shielding charged and covered his body in a film-like substance of clear energy that protected against most attacks and made walking somewhat harder.
The squad advanced from the drop point to the lip of the crater, where Shatter was ordered along with Flame to watch for movement. Shatter switched his comm. to the personal link between he and Flame, and keyed the comm. on the inside of his helmet with his tongue.
"Been awhile since we've seen snow, eh?" Shatter said, setting up his rifle for best possible recoil management.
"Yes it has, '97. It's beautiful, isn't it?" Flame replied.
"Beauty is nothing to me. Just something to get in my way." Shatter said with a boring, uninterested tone.
"So negative. Tsk tsk tsk." Flame chuckled, setting up his own rifle.
"After Switch and Calam are down there, you're going down and will cover my drop. Got it?"
"Understood, Shatter." Flame replied.
Shatter rolled his eyes and focused on what he saw through his scope. He changed the link to that between he and Killswitch, and keyed the comm. with his tongue after sighting his scope on a possible target.
"Killswitch, this is Shatter. Hold your position. Possible target confirmation," Shatter reported and kept on looking. After about ten minutes, he keyed the comm. again. "Nevermind Five-Two, it was just an animal. You're in the clear."
The commando moved his weapon away from the animal and looked for other targets as he awaited confirmation of the rest of the team's descent.
RC-1665: "Calamity"
Csilla
Admiring
As usual Calamity payed little attention to the Advisor, he heard everything but barely cared. He was waiting for his next kill, the next chance to steal away some poor creature's courage, before stealing away their life. The next chance to spill their blood all over his armour and of course do so without anyone knowing he was there. That was what these missions were about, this war, that's the only reason Calamity existed and he loved it. Reveled in the animalistic joy of spilling blood, and being ordered to do it no-less.
They stopped moving a good piece above the ice and all five members of Gamma Squad rapelled down, making subtle crunching noises when they landed. If I'm forced to sneak around here I'll have to rely on being unseen instead of being silent. If I'm careful I'll be able to lessen the sound of the snow, but not completely cancel it out... Calamity thought, he recieved orders to head into the Crator, and very quickly rapelled down the steep sloping edge. Killswitch was rambling for most of this, but was shut up and Bane, followed by Flame and finally Shatter rapeleld down.
"All right, the next thing we should do is find out what those 'growths are," Bane said, "Shatter, Flame stay at least twenty meters back and make sure one of you is covering us at all times. 'switch, stay with me and Calamity take point."
With those words Calamity hurried off towards the ship, there was no cover to use, so he just moved quickly and zig-zagged in case there were enemy snipers. Not likely, but Calamity prefered seeing his enemy without being seen and was always wary when the tables were turned. Who knows when he'd meet up with someone as good as he is as staying hidden? Probably never, because he was the best at what he did and he made sure everyone knew that.
He was close to the ship now, and could see the growths much clearer, although they didn't look any different then they did far away... just bigger. Stopping right in front of one, he looked back at the squad and spoke over the radio.
"Whatever these things are, I don't think we can kill them, so I doubt they'll kill us. Can we go inside the ship already?"
(OOC) Here's your chance to prove me horribly wrong NtD :P If they're alive and dangerous you can bet I'll try to kill it. If Calamity is right then let's head on into the ship so we can really get screwed over. (OOC)
Bane grabbed Calamity's shoulder and pulled him back a good three feet, in case whatever the growth was some sort of weapon, or would attack them someway. Lifting his DC-17, he pointed it directly at the center of the thing, but resisted teh urge to blow it away. It would give away their position to whatever was inside...if there WAS anything inside, he thought quietly to himself. His scanner could not tell him much, just that it was alive and was some sort of parasitic plant.
"Gamm, speard out. Find a door, or hatch, or someway to get inside. Stay clear of those growths, two meters at the least."
The squad nodded, and broke off to search for an entrance hatch. Being careful to avoid the growths. They were brownish green, with some sort of a motuh or nose in the cnter of it. Looked almost like a closed flower pod. Bane spared them passing glances as he circled around, scanning the hull for any deficencies. So far his visor scan had turned up nothing, but his heat visor showed objects moving around inside. So there were people who had survived...all he had to do was find away inside.

Door #1
"Gammas, spread out. Find a door, or hatch, or someway to get inside. Stay clear of those growths, two meters at the least." Bane said, so Calamity obeyed and looked for the nearest air-lock or un-burried hull breach. He walked along away from the other troopers and - as ordered - away from the growths. Looking up the hull of the ship he spotted what they were looking for.
"Bane, I think I found an air-lock. It apears to be meant for maintenance as there's exterior hatch controls. If power's out we'll have to blow it open. I'm heading up to find out."
"Acknowledged Calamity, Flame has your six."
Calamity felt over the side of the ship, it was mostly covered in frost which would make climbing difficult at best. So he'd have to be careful, he could attatch his rappel line to secure himself as he got higher up the hull, but for now he just needed something to grab onto. Finding a piece of plating that was warped from the crash he grabbed on and started pulling himself up. About ten minutes later he was just over halfway to the hatch and by the sounds of it Shatter had spotted and confirmed a hatch at ground level.
"Bane, I'm almost at this hatch. Permission to continue climbing and head in? I can meet back up with you lot on the inside."
(OOC) Tag Tanis, it's your call. If I go on solo I'll do some sneaking around and stay in radio contact for orders. If you call me off I'll climb back down and rejoin the group. Or you could send someone with me and I could attatch a line for them at the actual hatch. If you have any preference NtD I'll probably go with that.(OOC)

"Calamity, you are go for entering via maintenance hatch. Be advised there are hot targets moving around inside. Hold all weapons fire till you are fired upon, avoid contacts when possible. Attach a rappeling line to the outside of the hull in case we need to hot foot it inside to pull your ass out of the fire. Shatter, Flame, Killswitch, continue searching for a second entrance." Ordered Bane over the comm.
He continued circling the outside edge of the crashed object. Endo-Steel and Ferro-titanium structures, fairly sophisticated manufacture. There was heat burning from the re-entrance into the atmoshpere, but was otherwise in good condition. Bane could not assign this hunk of metal to one class of CIS ship or another, but there was no doubt it belonged to the Separatists.
As he looked, he spotted ever more of those strange organic pods latched on to the sides of the object. What were they? His visor scanner could not discern a species, or even a planet of origin. They seemed to be totally...alien, for lack of a better word. A strange green goo leaked from the opening, giving off a bit of smoke. It might be some sort of acid, and Bane was sure he did not want to be the one to find out.
He stopped looking at the pods, and his eyes fell to an access hatch at eye level. Internal controls no doubt, but a nice big breatching charge would blow it out. He felt around the edges of the hatch...it was corroded some how. Ferro-Titanium did not corrode in any enviroment, what had done this? They would have to worry about it at a later time. He keyed his comm to the general channel.
"Gamma squad, minus Calamity, converge on my location. We have some sort of access panel."

Shatter hefted his sniper rifle on his shoulder, rappelling down the crater wall and walking along the bottom of the crater. The gigantic crashed cruiser dominated his view, with green blobs of... something growing on the sides of it. Shatter felt like shooting one, but didn't because he hadn't been ordered to fire on anything except hostiles.
"RC-3297 reporting as ordered, sir." Shatter said slowly over the comm. link as he reached the control point as Calamity moved towards the ship.
"Any speculation?" Shatter asked on the public band.
"Probably some sort of native parasite that came in after it hit." one of the other troopers said, but '97 was too busy checking the bolts of his rifle to identify who had spoken.
""Gammas, spread out. Find a door, or hatch, or someway to get inside. Stay clear of those growths, two meters at the least." Bane had ordered, and Shatter had listened. He calmly walked towards the derelict hull, hand on his pistol.
Reaching the hull, the commando decided to bend orders a little bit and poked one of the growths with his pistol. Gooey pus shot out and covered his visor, though the cleaning solution in the helmet quickly took care of the mess.
Shatter backed away, pistol raised at the growth. He put a blaster bolt into it for good measure, and backed away from the thing, looking about for anyone else who could have seen this breach of command. Finding none, he looked onward.
"Bane, I think I found an air-lock. It appears to be meant for maintenance as there's exterior hatch controls. If power's out we'll have to blow it open. I'm heading up to find out." Calamity said over the comm.
"Acknowledged Calamity, Flame has your six." Bane replied.
Shatter locked onto Calamity's signal and walked over to where Flame was aiming his rifle down an opening in the hull. Bane ordered the rest of the squad to find a second entrance, though '97 elected to simply follow the commander and watch for anything suspicious.
Bane seemed to have found something on the hull, and Shatter readied his rifle. The commander, as best as the sniper could tell, seemed to be either slightly cheerful or dismayed to have found an access panel.
"Gamma squad, minus Calamity, converge on my location. We have some sort of access panel." Bane ordered over the channel. Shatter flashed his acknowledgment light and approached, rifle aimed at the hull.
"I have your back, sir." Shatter said over the private channel, and aimed over Bane's shoulder.

As the rest of Gamma squad descended down into the crater, Killswitch continued to move towards the derelict space craft, sweeping his anti-armour weapon from left to right, ensuring that there were no possible threats. Once he was content that he was alone, he took a better look at the crashed ship. All along it's hull, there were strange green pods protruding from it. For once in a long time his sense of humor vanished. There was something...bad about what he was seeing. Something he couldn't quite place a finger on. Before getting to indepth on his own thoughts, he was interupted by the rest of his team landing on the frozen ground behind him, bringing him back to his normal self. Suddenly, his comm crackled to life as Calamity came over the radio, having walked up to the ship itself.
"Whatever these things are, I don't think we can kill them, so I doubt they'll kill us. Can we go inside the ship already?"
Killswitch took the opportunity to come up with something witty to say, as he had always done in the past.
"Nah. There isn't much that can't die Calamity. Sometimes you just have to show it some "explosive" persuasion. You remember that time back on Cato Neimoidia when it was just the four of us...before Flame joined us. There were hundreds of those stupid droids and I..."
"Five-Two...how many times do I have to tell you to shut up," interupted Bane. Killswitch let of a soft chuckle before acknowledging the order and following behind the remainder of the squad, checking their rear on occasion to ensure it was secure. As they all gathered around the downed vessel, Bane quickly issued out his orders.
"Gamma, speard out. Find a door, or hatch, or someway to get inside. Stay clear of those growths, two meters at the least."
As the others gave their acknowledgements, Killswitch once again came over the comm' and broke the silence.
"So, does that mean I can just blow the son of a bitch open then sir? I mean, I'm packing a little extra weight here."
"Negative Killswitch, we need to keep the element of surprise on our side. And what exactly do you mean by extra weight? The Advisor told us to carry a standard load, nothing more. Don't tell me you..."
"Uh..sir. How many times have I actually listened to the Advisor concerning how much ammo I can carry. I mean, if I had in the past, we'd have been iced so many times."
Bane sighed into the mic at Five-Two's comment, knowing that he was right, but still wrong at the same time.
"Switch, once we're done here, you and I are going to have a lot to talk about. Keep that in mind, understood."
"Roger sir."
After their conversation, Calamity called in saying that he had found an entryway. Everything was going as planned and couldn't be going any smoother. Every doorway he had found was either half buried or was being overtaken by the odd growth. As he was about to round a corner, Bane spoke to the squad once again.
"Gamma squad, minus Calamity, converge on my location. We have some sort of access panel."
Turning sharp on his heel, Killswitch trotted back to his officer, sliding to a halt just as he met up with Bane and Shatter, looking over the doorway before setting up security on their six.
(OOC: Tag Tanis. I'm waiting on either the door to be opened or an order to blow it open.)

Four of your squad forms up at the access panel. While Bane affixes a breaching ordinance to the center of the access panel, Shatter aligns his sights over the leader's shoulder, Flame leans back against the hull to the right of the panel, and Killswitch kneels to to the left of the panel, fingering the tip of an ECD. Bane sets the charge's timer, then he and Shatter back away to either side of the entrance.
The charge blows, sending thin planes of shrapnel out thirty feet and into the snow. Steam rises from the icy ground as Bane barks the three commandos into action.

In we go!
Calamity just reached his hatch when he heard Bane ordering the other's through theirs. Attatching his rapel line to the lip of the hatch he opened it up and headed in. He found himself in a small airlock which lead to an equally small and dark hallway. Switching to night vision, he pried it open and snuck into the hall. Pieces of broken battledroids littered the floor every few meters, examining one of the "corpses" he determined they were probably destroyed during the crash.
"Calamity here, I'm in a fairly small hallway, probably close to the engine room judging by all the pipes. Lots of clankers littered about. Damn things fell apart during the crash."
He relieved one of them of it's blaster and hooked it onto his belt.
"Acknowledged Six-Five. We've also encountered broken droids. See if you can't make it to the engine room, maybe find out what brought this thing down. If you encounter hostiles keep out of sight and do NOT engage. If you need back up, don't be afraid to ask"
"Yes sir, but if for some reason I'm spotted they'll regret it more then I will." Calamity knew that Bane wasn't warning Calamity not to engage for a second time because he thought Calamity had forgotten, he was doing so because he worked with Calamity long enough to know that once wasn't always enough.
Under his stark white helm' he smirked, he didn't mind avoiding conflict, he hated droids anyway. They didn't sweat when he caught them, they didn't tremble as he taunted them with his blade, they didn't bleed when he tore open their gut but most of all unless they were SBDs they weren't a chalenge. He'd have to find a nice Neimodian officer to kill, Neimodians did bleed, and they were oh-so-easy to frighten. Setting his mind to that he hurred down the hall towards the back of the ship.
(OOC) I'll wait for a few more posts/a check with NtD before I actually reach the engine room/find out if there's a problem there that led to the ship's crash. (OOC)

The blast from the breaching charge was incredibly loud, even through the autmatic mufflers built into his commando helmet. A second or two later, a grenade tossed into the hole by one of the other commandos also exploded, throwing bits of shrapnel and red hot plasma out the breach and all over the room that it had been thrown into. Readying his weapon, Bane entered the room.
DC-17 raised and ready, Bane entered the room crouched, but moving fast, quickly scanning to see if anything was in the room. Immediately to his left was a destroyed Battle Droid, bits of shrapnel buried in its head and chest. To Bane's right, two more Droids had been taken in the blast. The room was about thirty feet by another thirty, and contained Droid recharging posts and a weapons locker. Against the far wall was a pressure door, closed and locked from the inside it looked.
"Calamity here, I'm in a fairly small hallway, probably close to the engine room judging by all the pipes. Lots of clankers littered about. Damn things fell apart during the crash." Piped Gamma Six-Five in over the comm.
"Acknowledged Six-Five. We've also encountered broken droids. See if you can't make it to the engine room, maybe find out what brought this thing down. If you encounter hostiles keep out of sight and do NOT engage alone and unsupported. If you need back up, don't be afraid to ask" Replied Gamma Four-One.
Bane motioned for the others to enter.

Flame slowly walked into the room looking back at the doorway and his entrance. He looked around. No escape. If they got trapped here they were in trouble. He closed the door behind him and walked towards the center of the room. He looked up and saw a single security camera.
A spark shot out of a corner and illuminated a neat line of deactivated droids. Flame frowned. Something was wrong. He crept towards the security console in the corner. As he neared it, he saw a single red light blinking under the words ACTIVATION STATUS.
Flame looked at Bane and decided not to do anything about it. Instead he turned his attention to the security console. He went under the console and opened a cabinet. A blue wire led up and he traced it to the area that said security cameras.
This is too easy. Flame thought. But doubts aside, he slowly disconnected the security wire.
As Flame sliced the cable, the red light turned green. Flame swore and dove into hiding behind an ancient oak table, hoping the droids would not see him. "Bane, sir! Get down! Enemy spotted!"
Bane took in the situation at a glance and crouched along with the rest of the squad. But it was too late.
Blaster bolts ripped through the air, and right in front of his eyes, Flame's table dissapeared, leaving him in the open.

As the squad got the order to move through the hatch, Killswitch was about to step through the entrance way to take point as usual but Flame darted past him, taking the intiative to lead. Five-Two didn't mind this time. Though he had been with the squad long enough to know that Killswitch was usually the point man, Flame was still the "newest" team member, eager to show that he was able to keep up with his seniors. As Flame attempted to shut down the ship's surveillance system, something once again didn't feel right. He was about to relay a warning to his fellow squad members, when Seven-Three blurted through the radio.
"Bane, sir! Get down! Enemy spotted!"
Time seemed to slow down for the giant clone as a group of battle droids suddenly came to life, targeting whoever had interrupted their "sleep." Killswitch watched as the dark atmosphere errupted in light from the enemy fire, two energy bolts catching him in the chest. As the personal shield disrupted the bolts, Five-Two quickly removed one of his ECD grenades, tossing it in the middle of the enemy group. As he watched the electrical explosion take it's effect and stun the droids, the three commando's at the end made quick work of the enemies, the hallway growing silent once again.
Standing to his feet, Flame looked back at the squad, thankful that they had saved his life. Before he could voice his gratitude however, Killswitch rushed over to him and grabbed Flame by the shoulders, shoving him with ease against the bulkhead and reprimading him about his stupidity.
"What the hell were you thinking? Are you stupid or something? Next time you do something like that, I might get you mixed up with the enemy, alright?"
Flame simply nodded his helmet slowly at Five-Two's threat. Feeling sorry for scaring his comrade, he quickly drew out his humorous side of himself and gave a playful slap on the side of Flames helmet, his tone of voice a little more cheerful.
"But hey, at least I got to kill something. Now, let's say you calm down a bit and get your mind back in the game alright?"
As the two returned back to the squad, Bane quickly gave new orders to the squad.
"All right, we seem to fine now, but we have to assume that we've lost the element of surprise there. Five-Two, I want you on point from now on. Nine-Seven, I want you to bring up the rear. Seven-Three, you're with me since you seem to be a little to gung-ho. Alright Gamma, we're moving on, stay frosty."
Killswitch quickly took up his usual position at the front of the team, putting his primary weapon aside and bring his DC-15s up at the ready.

You four in the second entrance hurry through the room, pointing your barrels every which way, scanning for anything conspicuous. Nothing shows, and you move on through the corridor at the other end of the small room, weapons at eye level. The walkway is thin and lined with layers of pipes, a couple of which spew little columns of water vapor. Killswitch rounds the next corner and waves the rest of your team to him. The path widens, turns right, and opens up to what looks like a security level, complete with a fancy console to one side of the featured sealed door. To the left lies an incapacitated battle droid, legs obviously shattered. To the right you can see an air vent on the wall by the floor.
Suddenly, sparks fly from the left side and the supposedly dead droid comes to life, straining its artificial back to point its blaster pistol at you. Shatter instantly blows two clean holes through the droid's chest and head. The unit squeals and flops to the floor.
"Damn things just don't give up when they're had," Shatter mutters. Bane sends Killswitch to slice the security interface: "Not a problem, sir. Just give me a sec..." and the other three take cover.
The door slides upwards. The door was bigger than they thought. It rises for a good eight seconds before it shows light from the other side. The next hallway was a set of stairs, rising high for at least one hundred feet. Bane considered the option.
"Seven-Three, check out that air vent back there. Is there any way to dislodge it?"
((OOC: remember, this ship had a quite the rough landing. Most the droids in storage are going to be majorly damaged in some way. There'll probably be a fire somewhere too. This sounds like a paradise for active scavenger droids.))

Csilla: Sepratist Ship
Engine Troubles
Calamity had encountered very few active battledroids on his trek towards the Engine Room, and all of them had been half destroid already. So he put them out of their misery by prying off their heads as he went. Not as pleasureable as doing so to a living creature... like a Geonosian, they were always fun to pull apart: Their frail joints made subtle popping noises when they were "removed" and best of all they had a low tollerance for pain which meant taking them apart was a long and noisy process. Their thin necks made it easy to tear off their heads without using a vibroblade beforehand, and their cries raise to an intoxicating hight before the slight pop and their body falls spasming to the floor.
Unfourtunatly after two such events Bane ordered him not to continue that method of killing. He called it "Excessive and inefficient.". Calamity called it fun. He finally reached his target, the Engine Room had a thick blast door seperating it from the rest of the ship in case of radiation leaks or explosions. Too much for a breaching charge, but nothing a good slice couldn't handle.
"Just a heads up Six-Five." Bane's voice crackled over the 'com, it was far more distorted then normal probably due to the distance and shielding around the engine room. "Flame accidentily activated some droids, so our cover may be blown. Keep an eye out for hostiles and call for backup if you get in a firefight."
"Roger that Bane, I'm entering the Engine Room now."
He finished the slice (sepratist security systems weren't known for their complexity) and pointed both his DC-17 and "aaquired" droid blaster into the room in case of hostiles. Seeing none in the imediate area he clipped the Droid Blaster back onto his belt and started quietly searching the room. What he found was definantly strange, what looked like hundreds of roots were woven in and around every vital engine component literally choking the life out of it. Poking one of them with his blaster it moved just slightly, as if recoiling from danger.
"Fierfek..."
"What was that Six-Five?"
"I've found what brought this ship down sir, they're plants. Roots... permission to exte-"
"Permission denied Calamity, for now at least. Since you're done there you should make your way back to our position."
"Roger that, on my way."
Turning to go he heard metal clanking moving towards him, obviously from droids that were sent to check up on the Engines. Smiling at this new challenge Calamity crept into a dark corner between two large pieces of machinery and waited. Two Battledroids entered first with blasters drawn, they probably noticed some of Calamity's "handiwork" on his way down. After them however came the hulking shape of a Super' which began looking around the room. Knowing that they had night vision Calamity jumped forwards sprinting at the droids with his vibroblade deployed.
"Enemy!" The one droid exclaimed as Calamity rolled slightly to one side avoiding blasts from the SBD. He stood again infront of one of the smaller droids which fired two blasts into his chest (nothing his shields wouldn't handle), he responded by planting his blade into it's chest and then ducking down as the SBD swung it's massive arm. Using his legs as extra force he jumped up slicing into one of the SBD's torso panels, it swung down at him and he stepped to the side slashing at the large droid's shoulder.
He got shot a few times by the other Clanker and ducked under another swing by the SBD as he moved towards the smaller pest. Grabbing it's narrow arm Calamity pulled it passed him and into the SBD which showing to care for it's fellow droid smacked it to the side and blasted away at Six-Five. Taking another hit his shields showed low power, so he decided he'd better end things quickly, ducking into melee range again while dodging the cumbersome swings of the droid he slashed again at the damaged panel knocking it off. Then backing away for a second he retrieved a Breaching Charge from his pack and stepped back into arms length.
He slapped the shaped explosive onto the exposed inner workings of the droid, dodging a few more blows before he could prime the charge. Once it was primed he started to move away when the Droid made it's fist major hit, sending Calamity sprawling backwards into some crates, the SBD leveled it's gun with Calamity's head when the charge detonated apparently blowing away enough of the Droid's insides to render it inactive. It slumped over and collapsed to the ground, for lack of a better word; dead. Glad with his victory Calamity made a mental note to try Breaching Charges against an organic Enemy one of these days before checking remains for grenades and contacting Bane again.
"I've just encountered some resistance sir, one SBD and two clankers. You can let 'switch know I've found a new use for Breaching Charges."
(OOC) He gets happier as he kills things, he's not a mean guy, he's just bored :P Hope noone minds my creative takedown, but I figured a shaped charge applied to an exposed section would cause enough damage to an SBD to finish him. Don't you guys? Now who else is excited to meet up with some Neimodians so Calamity can try it on them? :D (OOC)

Shatter crept along in the shadows, aiming his sniper at anything that moved. After putting two rounds into an apparently not dead droid, he reloaded his rifle. Shatter went over to the security console, downloaded the ship schematics, and looked over at Bane, lowering his weapon in order to seem more... approachable.
"Requesting permission to go up the stairs. I'll report whatever I see. I've marked a rendezvous point 100 meters ahead from my current position. If the schematics from the security console are correct, you should come out where I'll end up." Shatter asked.
"Permission granted. See you on the other side." Bane replied.
"Happy hunting, sir." Shatter said, replaced his sniper attachments with the blaster attachments, put his blaster over his back, and drew his pistol. He wanted to be quick and silent.
Shatter seemed to meld with the ship as he moved upwards on the stair, taking controlled steps so to not make a sound. He reached the top of the stairs, pistol drawn, aiming for any Clankers.
Suddenly, as he rounded a corner, a Battle Droid turned and aimed his blaster at the commando while alerting nearby allies. Shatter put a bolt through the robot's neck, but then something out of a nightmare came around the next corner....
Droidekas. Roller droids.
Their brown, wheel-shaped forms came to a halt as the two droidekas rose up into their combat form. Before one of them could come to its full height, Shatter tackled the droid and bashed in its head area with his fists. Picking up a blaster arm and cutting it free, he pressed what he thought was the firing pin and blew apart the neighboring droid's shielding.
Rising up from the destroyed mass of the droideka, Shatter planted his vibroblade in the optical area of the droid and his other vibroblade in the center of its mass, causing the droid to convulse as spew out bluish-black oil as it sputtered and died.
Smiling, Shatter withdrew his blades and placed the blaster he had cut off onto his belt. He'd need it for the coming battles, though he desperately wanted an ACP Array Gun, known to antiquity and to slang as a shotgun. Shatter pressed onwards towards his navpoint, stealthily as he could.

Getting taken down...
--
Bane moved down the hallway, sweeping left and right with his DC-17. For the first thirty or so meters, everything seemd perfectly clear. No droids, and no defenses of any kind. So strange, thought Bane...but his thoughts were stopped dead as he spotted what appeared to be another of those strange buds. It had burrowed through the hull, and was chewing its way through the floor.
The backside of the beast was the same strange, acid drooling pod, but the front end was a massive, multi-toothed maw which drizzled acidic spittle all over the floor. It had somehow gotten through the hull. It was eating the ferro-titanium hull!. Bane stumbled, almost dumbfounded. The beast stopped immediately, turned its maw towards the squad, and roared an unearthly sound. Bane lifted his weapon, but before he could the strange beast took off from the hull, launching itself with a blast from the pod end.
It bashed into Bane full speed, throwing him from his feet and knocking his weapon out of his grasp. Bane struggled only for a moment, as his right hand grabbed hold of the sidearm on his hip. The teeth came perilously close to his face before he pumped three qwuick shots into the beast, effectively killing it. Bane stood, throwing the corpse off of him. It took a few more breaths, and expired with a hiss. The rest of the squad appeared dumbfounded. None of them had even seen anything like this.
Bane grabbed his fallen DC-17, only to find the beast had disabled it. The blaster attachment had been bent and warped by the high speed impact, along with corrosion from the pod creature's saliva. Bane tossed it aside.
"Calamity, Shatter, be advised those pods we spotted coming in are some sort of metal eating entity. Destroy on sight. Saliva is corrosive, they are capable of launching themselves. Rest of Gamma, lets keep heading to the rendevous point."

Flame looked at the air vent scornfully. And they thought I could not do this. I'll show them! AFter thinking that, Flame almost slapped himself. They were supposed to work as a team.
Flame walked towards the vent, his commando boots making a loud metallic clanking sound that fit the desolate environment around him. The metal walls almost spoke evil and death and roots of twisted plants clambered around the side of the ship.
He pulled out his vibroblade and looked curiously at the screws. Attached ot each one was a extremely thin blue cable. He would not have noticed it, but when his vibroblade shot out, the dim reflection of the lights around him caught the wire. Flame knew from his last attempt taht he should not even touch the cable, so he proceeded to the screw.
The screw was a metallic gray, and there was some sort of saliva on it from who knows what. Flame shuddered at the thought of the horrors within this cold, robotic, graveyard. Slowly and silently, Flame stuck his vibroblade in and twisted. As metal touched metal, a spark leaped from teh wire and hit his hand.
A shock went through him and flung him up against the wall. He shook himself off and went back. He pulled out his DC-17 and was about to shoot when Bane came p behind him.
He grabbed him and threw him on the ground. "What do you think you are doing? We are part of a squad. Now either get this vent off or give up." Flame put his DC-17 and looked once more at teh vent.
"Unless you want to blow it, sir, I think we should take the stairs." Bane nodded, his stern clone helmet's face revealing no emotion.
"Very well, 7-3, very well."
As Flame turned away, a bit of saliva dripped from the strong, near invulnerable vent. It hit the ground and went right on through.
Inside the vent, red eyes laughed silently at him like a beast behind bars begging his prey to come closer. The eyes turned and slinked away.
The rest of Gamma squad continued on their way to the stairs.

Another craft has just been recorded scouting the area... ...No, it’s unidentified. We’re too far for information that accurate—we can’t do that, this is merely a research station—geothermal—yes. No, I can do that. That’s no problem... ...Okay, will do.”
*Beep* The man disconnected the line, then dialed again. He turned to gaze at the white crystalline plain through the large view port from across the room as a moment passed. Then, “I have urgent news from the Trekomviunt Sea. Unidentified and unauthorized personnel have been investigating a meteorite impact... ...Absolutely, coordinates are eighty-seven east, thirty-one south. That’s as close as I can get it from here, so I hope—
*Beep* —that’s good enough. Great. Good luck to you, sir. Okay. Goodbye." The Chiss scientist broke the line and reset the communicator. He stood and pondered only a little bit about nothing in particlular.
*Beep* He walked back over to the side monitor and reset the sensor.
RC-1665: Calamity
Csilla: Sepratist Ship
Well armed
Raising his heavy club above his head he brought it down on the enemy droids with so much force it shattered their torso, neck and legs at the same time, leaving them as crumpled heaps on the floor. When the small group was destroyed - some of which were missing limbs, hardly worth Calamity's time - he proceded to bash the remains even further until they were scrap that not even a Scav' Droid would bother with.
"Damnable Droids..." he muttered resting his "club" over his shoulder. It was actually the larger of the two arms from the SBD in the engine room, it wasn't special, it was just heavy so it worked fine. Plus beating droids down with one of their own arms had something almost poetic about it. If nothing else it made dismantling these clankers even more violent, which almost made him forget how much he hated droids. This hate was deep and powerful, he didn't hate them because they were his enemies. But rather because they didn't die. He could destroy as many of them as he wanted, but he never could kill them, because they were never actually alive. It was like he was never actually winning, because in the end noone died, no life was lost, he didn't get to kill. He didn't trust something that couldn't die, which was one of the reasons he disliked Jedi.
Did that mean he trusted his other enemies? The Geonosians? The Neimodians? Of course. In a fight things were fair, he could kill them and he could die. It was an even playing field so he was happy win or lose - although he's never actually lost - he could trust them to kill or be killed. There was an actual point in fighting them but when he fought droids it was like working all day for nothing. He put in all the effort, all the time but reaped no reward. Droids cheated him of his reward, cheated death itself by remaining unalive. Thats why he hated them.
Like making a child's wish, suddenly a nightmare. Taking all the joy out of life and leaving only the work.
Fighting them was without victory, but he never lost.
Purgatory...
He needed to escape these droids, he needed to fight a fair fight. He needed to claim his reward, his prize, his paycheck.
"Bane, permission to head to the bridge, we might be able to restore some power at least, and find out where this plant came from." It was all true, but it was also a lie.
"I'll rendezvous with Shatter on my way if you prefer." Possibly the easiest compromise, Shatter was a true Warrior, he knew how to kill, just not how to enjoy it properly. Not yet anyways. Calamity stopped walking while he waited for Bane's reply.
(OOC) Tag Tanis. This post was mainly to give you a look into Calamity's inner psyche. A look at how he ticks if you will, just to show he's more complex then "OMFG I KILL JOO!", plus I felt like explaining his hatred for Droids (which is one of those things that drives him insane). Hope you like it. If you let kong and I go I'm sure we'll behave like nice little clones :D (OOC)

"Bane, permission to head to the bridge, we might be able to restore some power at least, and find out where this plant came from."
"Roger that, rednevous with Shatter and procede to the bridge. Download all flight computer knowledge, manifests, and anything else you can find that might give us a clue about this ship. The rest of Gamma squad will continue with a room by romm search of the ship. We will then meet you in the bridge and work out a strategy from there. Good hunting."
Bane mtioned with his head for the rest of the squad to move out.

With Shatter seeking a link to his comrade in the engine room, the rest of Gamma Squad began their ascent noiselessly up the stairs.
"Bane, I'm heading left at the top of the stairs," Shatter radioed cooly. "I am seeing a path straight forward and a corridor to the right. No sign of hostiles, then again, I can't see much those ways." He paused. "There's dense mist, I'd guess emanating from some broken pipeline. It's dark, too--a blackish mist." His voice darkened to a gutty murmur, "Don't worry about me, though. The left hall is clear as day."
"Roger, Nine-Seven," Bane straightened visibly. "Gammas Five-Two and Seven-Three, form up on me."

Five-Two watched as Shatter left the squad to move on his own. For a brief moment a worry enveloped him, the thought of being down another man concerning him deeply. Now it was just the three of them, Bane, Flame, and himself. Before Shatter stepped off, Killswitch changed over to his personal link between himself and his comrade.
"Watch your ass up there Nine-Seven."
Silence only followed his comment yet he knew that Shatter had gotten it. Switching back to his squad comm, he heard Bane's order to form up on him and did so without hesitation. Moving up the stairs slowly, he replayed the "creature" that had attacked the squad leader earlier. He had never seen anything like that in his entire life on the battlefield, and he knew that no one else had seen anything like it as well. As the 3 man team finally reached to top of the ladder well, another bulbous entity was hanging from the ceiling. Before Bane could even nottice it, Killswitch pushed the leader out of the way and fired a rapid succession of bolts from his DC-15s into it, watching it fall to the ground and expire.
"Looks like ya owe me one again sir."
"Thanks 'switch."
The team rounded a few more corners before entering a wide chamber. It was dimly lit by a red light. Along the walls were several clankers that seemed to be out of comission.
"Alright, split up and check each and everyone of them. Grab anything that you think might be useful. Killswitch, while your looking around see if you can find some sort of data link or terminal."
"Roger that sir."
As he was looking around, something in the corner caught his attention. Upon closer inspection he realized that it was a Super Battle Droid. Turning around and looking for his squad leader, he opened his comm link.
"Sir, looks like we have more than just clankers around here. I've located a SBD on the west side of the room. Looks like it's not up and runni-"
Before he could even finish his sentence, he felt a sharp pain to his ribs, the force of the blow forcing him into a line of battle droids and crushing their frail frames. The other two were alerted quickly to it's presence and before the SBD could make it's finishing blow to Five-Two's collapsed body, it was slammed by multiple shots from his fellow comrades. Turning it's attention to the more immediate threat, the slight moment of reprieve allowed a very pissed off Killswitch to flank around to the rear of the giant droid, rushing the metal threat at full speed and bring his massive build against it. Tackling the behemoth droid to the ground, he quickly brought his strength down on it's "head." After several massive blows, the SBD gave one final quick jerk and went limp, it's head dented in from the giant clone's own strength. Standing to his feet, he looked up at Bane and Flame and then back down at the destroyed droid.
"Yeah...take that you bastard! An eye for an eye."
"Switch, are you alright?"
Looking down at his side, he shrugged lightly at the dented armor plating, not even having focused on the pain.
"More than likely a couple of broken ribs. Other than that, I'm fine sir. I've had worse though, so I wouldn't worry about it. But damn if that wasn't fun right? I mean, how many times have you seen that happen in your life sir?"
"With you around Five-Two, plenty of times. Let's move on to the next room to see if there's a data terminal there."
"Yes sir. Glad to see that you're fine too."
Ignoring the comment from the large clone, Bane moved forward, the other two following after him with quick precision.
(OOC: Sorry for taking so long to get a post in here. I've been busy training. Hopefully it shouldn't be a problem again until next month.)

Shatter slowly crept along through the bowels of the ship, toying with his newly-won droideka blaster. He overheard something about rendezvousing with Calamity on the ship's command bridge, wherever that may have been. He honestly had no idea about the ship's layout and was content to stay put and play with his new gun, but duty called and he had to answer.
Shatter stopped messing with his gun and looked around. He saw that he was at a T junction. Down one hall was what appeared to be a large amount of roots for the growths. Down the other end was an elevator that seemed to be working. Shatter turned down the way with the elevator and kept his gun aimed at the walls for anything suspicious.
He pushed a random button that looked like it'd take him to the bridge and the doors struggled to close and the elevator lifted up, slow at first, but steadily gaining speed. This went on for a few minutes before the elevator stopped and the doors opened, as slowly as they had close.
Shatter found himself in a hallway that had 3 halls leading out. One, the one in front of him, went directly to the bridge itself. The one to his right lead to another elevator, and the one to his left housed a 3rd elevator door. The doors on his left opened up and Calamity stepped out of it, carrying a droid's arm as a club.
"I can see you had some fun." Shatter said, nodding.
"I would have preferred it if they were alive." Calamity replied.
"Well, we're here. I'll check for manifests, you check for logs. After that we can find whatever else is a priority. Hoo-ah?" Shatter asked, ending his question with a short grunt that was common amongst the lower-ranked clone troopers.
"Hoo-ah." Calamity said, and the two troopers went to work.

Sarsetti eased the warm handle to full thrust; he had many miles to go before he ought to be seeing anything, but he peered about anyway. Four thousand feet up in the frigid atmosphere, above his homeworld of Csilla, there was nothing to see but white and the baby-blue reflection of the sky on the horizon.
"Don't get too relaxed in there, pal," he heard from his headset. He could see his wingman Warszecha on his left, waving through the cockpit window. "Don't worry, 'Zecha, You just watch where you're going, eh?" Sarsetti waved back then looked forward. The waypoint distance meter on his HUD showed that the object was still, very far away: at least an hour's flight.

Searching the Armory
Csilla: Separatist Ship

The battered and scarred door slid open with an audible creak. It had not waethered the crash very well, and Bane needed to nearly break the whole door down to get ti to move at all. He slid in, sidearm in hand, seaching the immediate area. Pretty standard lay out. He tuned his communicator to the rest of the squad.
"Gamma Squad, I am searching the armory. Rendevouz in the bridge in ten minutes."
The door opened up into a rather large room, with six racks in the center of the room stretching for about fifty feet to the opposite end of the armory. Bane began an isle by isle search, checking his six often to make sure no one was tailing him. Since he had lost his DC-17 to the creature, he had just his sidearm. No matter, he thought, he was in an armory after all.
Ge moved down the first isle, with the wall on his left and a weapons rack on his right. The weapons rack was filled with standard issue Droid Blasters. On the right were several lockers, but Bane couldn't tell what was inside till he opened one. He lifted the handle up, and pulled the door opened.
Inside were heavy blaster weapons, and energy packs for them. One for wach locker. What was really strange about them was that they were designed for some sort of organic life form, rather than droids. Bane checked it over, and then slung one over his shoulder for later study. He turned to continue his search, and caught an a blast of energy right in the shoulder.
