View Full Version : terran expo help
Hey guys I am a major terran noobie! What seems to always happen is that I'm always low on money allowing the enemy to outnumber me and win. I don't have a lot of trouble against zerg but vs. p and t I always get owned. I know I should be doing tank/vult/gol but I never have enough money to get enough factories and units. I know the solution is to expo, but whenever I expo, I can't protect them well enough so I end up screwed. How can i solve this problem? Thanks a lot!

Me starts being diplomatic:
First of all, we can't see the cause of your poor economy without seeing some replays.
Try posting a few, and help will soon come your way. If you don't know how to save/post replays, just send me a message.

I believe your problem is expansion.
Protoss usually has more resource trouble than Terran, so I beleive that you haven't been expanding.
You just sit there, building up a defense with one (maybe two) resource nodes, while the Protoss enemy is taking all the other resources. Most people know for a fact that a Protoss CPU is a hog when it comes to resources.
Then, after the Protoss have built a sufficient army, they attack you, and since you have no resources left to counter, you can't do anything. You've also lost your offensive option, becuase you are so weak and the Protoss have become so strong.
I suggest expanding earlier in the game, or rushing to weaken your enemy.
Hope this helps,
Protogod

hmh I didnt remember that guide to be that bad. Seems that I didnt even know build orders when I wrote that... kinda shameful ("fake gundam: attack with 3scv 4 rine 1 tank") tho gives you some idea of early tvp game.
