I played an older version before the Frozen Throne beta (almost a year ago). It was pretty good, but I never really cared for UMS (use map settings).

There is no good customs anymore -_-
Every single one is either overplayed now or made horribly crappy.

Like Legendary Heroes. When it first came out it was great and even, even with custom heroes. Now its 0 gold tomes and instant god heroes.

Only good custom left is the RP map's, which I can never get a good group of people for -_-

DoTA is pretty serious amoung people. Clans are form to play this map. A friend got me hook to it and we usually kick ass with some hero combos. We stop for a while tho cuz we needa break from wc3

There is no such thing as 'best'. It depends on your likings.
Now I'm talking about the 'oldskool' DotA.

On Allstars, just play any summoner. Of the Sentinel.

However I realized that DotA had become more and more awful, that's why I decided to make a DotA map of my own. I just uploaded it to this site. OMG. I hadn't played any until a few nights ago. The game loads are painful. footman frenzy was kinda fun, but talk about no skill....

the last one was this stupid stupid stupid 4 hero defense thing. It had hireable MG that had all the usual skills PLUS bloodlust and vamp aura. Everything was so overpowered it was pointless. Oh it was so cheesy I'm still mad at myself for not quitting out. You could buy +10 stat books. They were so cheap, ugh. Plus the 50% chance to do 5x dmg. It was kinda cool that Choas marines and Zerg, but still :rolleyes:
