Although most of us know about the kharma system (http://www.warboards.org/faq.php?faq=faq_reputation#faq_faq_reputation_leve ls) and had already seen the blue spheres of kharma, adding in number as soon as you reach a new level. There's only one or two things lacking (imo). Today I saw a golden sphere in the same place as the regular ones on a certain member which will remain nameless and when hovered by it solely displayed it's name.
Anyway, I also had seen a staff member who has disabled on it's kharma sphere. *Cough*Dunchy*Cough* Can I do that on my User CP if wanted? Or would that be on his sphere for another 'obscure' motive to us (pointing an eventual prank)? :D

For shorts, I think that we needed a good clear up on what the negative reputation looks like and all the labelled classes (at the site's FAQ)... and also am wondering that, provided mine changed since yesterday but haven't received any kharma in the mid time nor have done any new thousand posts (I think :P).

Disabling the karma level is done by: UserCP -> Options -> Show my reputation level.

I tinkered with the karma system a bit yesterday, which is probably why your level changed inexplicably.

The golden sphere is the current negative karma icon. I feel poo-brown would be more appropriate.

Gee, that was fast. :) I was in doubt if it had to involve a request to an admin / staff by PM or something along that pattern.

Actually I prefer the "has great potential" than the old "was on a good path" or someting pretty darn close to it. That way it feels a lot more positive.

The yellow signalling has an warning is very adequate by my standards (aka Safety Engineering ;)). And I trust that if the user clicks on it's negative reputation it would disply it's post as it works within the 'regular kharma' (member given version, not admin/staff).

I also think that another colour should be in order for whom chooses to not display it's kharma level. Easy ID'ing is my concept here. Maybe Pink? Purple? My suggestion is green. *Recalls the multiquote (button) initial debate*

And I definetly prefer the kharma sphere by the right side of the username. It'll look cleaner when levels rise. ;)
Btw, will it keep being the sphere number mounting or it'll gradually turn into a bar? Or even better, a multicolourful sphered system? *Cough*Reminds squares*Cough* :P

How do you give someone negative reputation? There doesn't seem to be an option.

Answer:
Only WarBoards staff (http://www.warboards.org/showgroups.php?) can give negative reputation

Taken from the FAQ.

What's with the descriptions? Some people have great potential, some people are on a distinguished road, and schwitz and GA have 2 spheres...

That's the different level of rep those two great entities have accumulated ;)...*not sucking up ..I think...lol*

No serisouly, as you get more rep points you achieve different level, though of the exact scale I'm unaware.

The exact scale and the associated messages are secret :P

I should've known... even though was only asking for the positive scale. Which btw, is attributed by all members in these parts (aka the 'mere mortals'). :smirk:

A new doubt arose in my mind today when going through my User CP (http://www.warboards.org/usercp.php?). It only displays the last 5 points given to ya, right? And wasn't any other way to see the whole points credited to ya, for instance like the subscribed threads link (http://www.warboards.org/subscription.php?do=viewsubscription).

I guess that you have some way to see all kharma by user name. Couldn't it be linked to our User CP, but just in a fashion that you only could see your own rep'? ;)
