lol, this isn't the Maps and Mods Depot.
Of course, to do this, you need basic knowledge to make a regular mod though. Unless you understand the instructions I'm about to say...
If the CWAD is an auto executable (.exe), open it with WinMpq and extract the files into your desktop. You can open .exe files with WinMpq. If it's just a plain cwad (.cwad), you need to open it with StarDraft, extract the files it has into your desktop.
After you extract the files, put it into an mpq file and use MPQDraft to load it. I used to do it all the time.
You can find these programs at the Maps and Mods Resourece Guide (http://www.warboards.org/showthread.php?t=16586) thread.

You said you're try to open a cwad mod. I told you to open those with StarDraft. If that's the case, your saying that there is nothing in the list (under CWAD Contents).
If not, can you be a little more specifice?

I understand now, sorry. It's been a while.
Download EXE2MPQ (http://starcraft.org/downloads/CustomsDownloads/Other/EXE2MPQ)
It will do the extracting for you; it will creat the mpq file itself.
You can open .exe with WinMpq with the newer mods though...

Ok. You can still try to be more specifice, like what you did exactly.
I'm just guessing here...
So, you extracted the files and put it into an mpq right, then try to run it with MPQDraft? Are they named right, what I mean is...
In the mpq;
units.dat should be displayed as arr\units.dat in the mpq.
iscript.bin should be displayed as scripts\iscript.bin in the mpq.
marine.grp should be displayed as units\terran\marine.grp in the mpq.
theme.wav should be displayed as sound\theme.wav in the mpq.
If not rename them.
Did you know about that? I think this is the only way how you can put all the right files into the mpq and not have it working.
