I'm sure there are a lot of threads like this in the SC2 Theories Forum, but what I'll say is that StarCraft has created some very large shoes that a theorized SC2 would need to fill. If I were Blizzard, I would not want to rush a project like that. Not to mention the fact that if SC2 were released today, people would stop playing WoW for it, which would not be cost effective in Blizzard's eyes.

I don't know why people like to pick on other's who post exactly what they are thinking themselves, I'm sick to death of waiting for SC as well, though if it means it will be better when it gets here, so be it.

That's a really silly idea. I assure you Blizzard would very much like to have the top 2 games in the world, or even the top 10 games in the world if they could accomplish it.

There's still pleanty of WoW die hards so it souldn't be a problem. But just give em time. They've got a huge set of shoes to fill. If they do it then they'll probably end up with the top selling game when it's released easy. If not though then both you, me, and everyother starcraft hardcore out there will be very dissapointed.

I'm just afraid that any SC enthusiast will have built up too much expecations.
Personally, I can't think of many things Blizzard could do to make a better game.
I genuinly fear attempts at 3D graphic. The game does not need it. I was not very impressed with WC3's graphic, or the feel of the game.

Personally, I'd be happiest with another expansion. New single player missions, bring the story forward, introduce a few new characters, and maybe some new units and abilities for each race.

lol i love sc just like everyone on warboards but i aint going to be getting sc2 for quite along time because blizzard is working on burning crusade which i hate although i havent even heard anything about it or played it if its like sc or sc bw then hell im gettin it if not then ill go try to kill blizzard in a suicide attempt and im gonna shout "here's for the swarm" when i die... lol but sc2 they better make a new race and have new techs and bloody huger amounts of new units and keep the old three races add even more stuff and sc2 IS GONNA BE THE BEST GAME OF THE CENTURY!!!!!!!

Personally, I feel that the wisest move would be projects similar to Ghost. That way they can keep the plot moving, while still not risking to have a Starcraft 2 that ends up being inferior to the original.

I mean, think about it... people make millions in korea just playing this game. It will be very hard for Blizzard to beat their own product in that area since it's still played so much, but if they wait till sc has almost died out completely... then a new RTS would be welcomed all over the globe. Korea is just the most extreme example, but the fact that SC is still played a lot to this day globally would still point in this direction.

Bottomline is that I believe it's bad marketing for them to release SC2 any time soon. I want more new Kerrigan content though ;_;x
