having trouble

i have made a map but when i go and try and play it there is no gas or minarls...is there any way to fix this problem?

Did you use the map editor to actually place the gas and minerals? Or where you just expecting them to be there?

(assuming Starcraft works like Warcraft in this way)

Gas and minerals might be good, yes.
And this thread probably belongs in the map subforum.

...and why would you want to replicate something as boring as fastest map??
Make your own map instead, with actual terrain.
