I was playing this protoss(im zerg) and he did corsair and dt. Then he cannoned alot with corsairsand got alot of expos while in late game he used high templers and zealots.
I couldnt beat him in anyway.

well first i tried kill him with speed lings-he cannoned his base with some zealots supporting so i changed plans.
Then i tried lurker since he have corsairs so i cant muta and that didnt do anything nice because he had observer and high templers with storm.
So i tried getting queens for brood and parasite but i ran out of energy before he ran out of unit
So i built scourges and tried killing corsairs which also didnt work.
I tried droping him and that didnt work either.

Never mind, rep would be so much better. How is your macro? Did you expo alot, like z is supposed to? And you are supposed to go ultraling, crax arent enough against 3/3 lots. Oh and darkswarm.

first: the point of DT+corsair is, kill lords (detection), use darks. solution: a couple of well placed spore colonys in the centre of ur bases. put lords by these. good scouting helps here, as you can have them before he attacks you. try and be preemptive rather than reactive.
ok. zerg build is either
build 1. lings then hydras then lurks and mass hydras and hydra drops
or
build 2. lings then mutas
thats early game.
i'm assuming you know all the specific builds, ie 9 pool expo, 9 lord 12 expo etc etc
build2. mass mutas can be good if you're winning, or if you have strong allys. they will pawn small to medium groups of goons, or small to medium groups of m+m, or around 4 cannons/spore/turrets. if they only get about 4 corsairs then mass mutas will win. however once they have 10 or more then mutas just die instantly. no point. HOWEVER if you are losing or only just hanging on i always go hive asap. then get greater spire. scourges by themselves won't work. but a large group of mutas FOLLOWED by a large group of CAREFULLY MICROED scourges, with a few devourers mixed in with the mutas, should win. the devourers do splash damage and significantly slow the rate of fire of ALL the sairs. the scourges come AFTER the mutas because then the mutas will have already engaged the corsairs, seeing as scourges have little health we don't want them to die. preferably 2 scourges per sair. good micro required!! then, if you mix in a decent number of guardians to take care of ground units, you can sweep across the map. you will need lords, sight range upgrade will help.
you will also, here, experience a problem with HT and psionic storm.
so your queens.
you DON'T mass queens and try and broodling every one of their units. mix queens with your main force. queens are fast and have good spell ranges. get them to scout ahead of your main attack force. broodling HT and other scary units. mainly HT though. don't!! let HT get near your main force. if they do then byebye (slow) guardians, and the rest are impotent against ground units.
if you have good income, mix in ultralisks. tech them: carapace, melee attack. speed and extra armour at ultralisk cavern.
build1 mass hydras are very vunerable to psionic storm. i don't usually use hydras. if they're well managed, they can be good. tech is important!! upgrade them! lurks are good vs zealots. use them kind of like tanks. mass hydra drops are very good, especially with lurks, if they don't have a strong anti-drop defence. when dropping, ALWAYS if possible send as large a force as you can to the FRONT of their base: large enough for them to send all forces to that place, or at the least concentrate all their attention there. it gives you those extra few seconds
anyway i've forgotten what i was saying now
ultralisks and cracklings and dark swarm is good
u need many expos. 1 expo (and main) early game, 4 late game. with 4 late game u shud win, really. with 3 you'd be getting close to the edge. with 2 ur prob screwed. 1 and you might as well quite now, unless you know they're really close to resource bankruptcy also.
gl next game
don't know how good you are so whether any of this was any help or just obvious crap. but ah well. there it is.
and yeh, save reps of losses where you felt completely helpless.

The corsairs are easy to counter, keep your overlords in one place, place spore colonies or hydralisks next to the overlords, and its bye bye corsairs.

oh did i mention to mix hydras with ur guards/mutas/scourge, for nearly invincible anti air. MAKE SURE queens get HT before they can psionic storm you, or you're just a splat on the ground.
oh and if they go carrier then you can rape that with either
mass scourge (espec if they have no ground support)
or mass hydra and dark swarm the hydras= you don't get hurt.

Well, the only thing you can really do is practice. So yeah.

It would be much easier if we knew the contents of your base. If you had a defiler mound, I'd say plauge, plauge, plauge. If he had no detectors with him, then a couple of lurkers would chase off the invaders. One of my plans is to place my lurkers in a circle with a spore colony in the center, so that not all of my lurkers will be wiped out by a few corsair disrupt webs. With carfully microed devourers, you can eliminate the corsair threat, while sneaking in a plague for good measure.
